Watter Bottle Or Bowl? Hi there. I would love for you to give me some feedback on weather I should use a watter bottle for my lil babies ar to stick with the bowl. Their hair gets so wet when they are drinking watter from the bowl and I don't like kissing them much on their wet mouth. I always have to wipe the water off before giving them a kiss.Any ideas? |
I use a bowl. His hair used to get very wet when he drank his water, but as he's gotten older it's not that bad. I also just keep the hair on his muzzle shorter and he's fine. |
After using a bowl for years. I finally tried a bottle and I LOVE IT! It's cleaner, they can't spill it, things can't fall in the bowl, and when outside, especially during the summer bugs and mosquitos are not attracted to it. |
morgan and now chi-chi both drink from a bottle. its easier to deal with. they can't spill it or drop anything in it, and morgan's face doesn't get wet. :) she's a happy dry pup |
i was thinking about this yesterday - we had an appointment that took a couple of hours and even though i knew he would be fine with the weather being so warm here - mid 80's - i still did not like to leave him without water. i knew he would turn the bowl over so i am going to find him a water bottle for the times like that. |
I used the water bottle attached to the ex-pen when they were babies and in training. I didn't want them to turn the water over and get wet. |
I want to use a water bottle too, but I don't know what to attach it to, any ideas anyone?? |
My babies use a bowl ;) |
bottle. easier to use, doesn't spill, last longer, and nothing falls in it!  |
Mine always use a bowl, although when Bentley was a baby *he was from a petstore* I left a water bottle attached to his crate so he had something familiar :) |
i use a bowl because i feel bad using a bottle due to the fact i more than one babie and i don't want them to wait for one to be finished to get a drink...they all love to share 2 bowls and they never fight over food or water they share very well !! ;) |
Any ideea of where can I get a watter bottle from? |
Glass water bottles are more sanitary, keeps the water cleaner (lil ones pick up alot of stuff on their lil facial furnishings). Here's a website where you can purchase them. cherrybrook.com They are sold with complete attachment for crates and x-pens. |
Excelent, thanks will check that website now. |

You'll find most plastic bottles leak. Lixit Glass Bottles and those sold on Cherrybrook.com I've had no problem with. I prefer the lixit bottles because of the choice of several size spouts. Plastic has the ability of producing bacteria...... |

Thanks for that info. I have checked today and want one now. |
I use water bottles for mine as well. I haven't used a bowl for them for a long time because I got tired of them either spilling water everywhere, something falling into the bowl and them getting water everywhere because the hair would get wet from drinking out of a bowl. I have several water bottles out for them, so they don't have to take turns unless they really want to. I am however considering getting them one of those pet fountains. The ones that filter themselves all the time to provide your dog with fresh clean water. Since it comes out in a stream or like a fountain, maybe their hair won't get as wet because they aren't dipping their hair into the water. At least if they drink from the fountain part and not from the bowl. But I am pretty sure mine would drink from the fountain part because the love drinking from a stream of water rather than a bowl. |

They are nice, since the water is filtered, tried it, but found that the pups got their facial furnishings wet, just like a water bowl. Since I show dogs, I try to keep their facial furnishings as dry and clean as possible, even band the furnishings on the sides of their mouths before they eat. |
