Industry Can Recall

In light of the unfortunate current can recall by other respectable pet food manufacturers, our phone lines and emails are tied up with concerned customers. We want you, our valued customer, to feel secure with the continued use of our canned products. CANIDAE? canned foods in no way is affected by the recall, nor are any of our products produced in the recalled production facility.CANIDAE Pet Foods also does not produce cuts and gravies, pouches, and does not contain corn, wheat or soybeans in any of our products or formulations, and all ingredients are of US origin.

Our heartfelt concerns go out to all those affected by the recall.


If I'm reading that correctly, then some of Canidae's products ARE produced at the recalled production facility. This is really scary.

I don't use Canidae but I must have missed something there...doesn't that statement say that none of their products are processed in the recalled production facility?

I wasn't sure if I was reading it the wrong way or not. First I thought they were saying that their products that WERE produced at the facility were not involved in the recall. It's a little confusing. Maybe it's just me. :confused:

Depends on how you read it. It could be taken as: none of their products are produced in that facility. Or it could be taken as: none of their products that are produced in the facility are affected.

I took it as the later of the 2, but after reading it again, I think they're saying their foods aren't produced there..

YAY, Canidae!! Sounds like they have not had any problems with their food products, glad to know that they were NOT part of this recall!

Their foods are not produced in the facilities that were involved with the recall.

I'm going to contact them and ask for a clarification. It's too ambiguous for me.
