Hartz Tiny Dog Dental Duo? Has anyone ever heard of these?? I picked one up several days ago for Stedman and Tatum when we were at Wal-Mart of all places (this was when we were out of town though) but I only bought one of them because I figured that Stedman would want nothing to do with it because he is sooo picky  Well wouldn't you know I brought it home and they both LOVED the thing! They were being bad little babies and fighting over it and now it is gone - they devoured it LOL. It's good for Tatum to chew on since she is teething and all but the only problem is that I can't find them in our Wal-Mart and I am wondering if anyone knows where else I might be able to find them? The name of it is Hartz Tiny Dog Dental Duo and it's hard to explain, but it kind of looks like a dogs arm with a paw at the end (this is the outer shell part, and I guess is made of a really hard, dark purple plastic) anyway - and the inside is filled with whatever it is that they love the taste of lol...and they have to really "work" at it to get the center out, but it is edible. This center part is kind of a darker brown color (it's probably beef flavor I'm guessing) - and I would have taken a picture of the thing but of course it's gone now and I threw the packaging away when I ripped it open for them  Anyway I cannot even begin to tell you about much they LOVED this thing. And it must be good if Stedman liked it because he is the definition of PICKY. I have looked online and did fine some of them, but they look all together different and aren't the same as ours was, and the ones I found online were large or medium sized ones and this one was a tiny - which was perfect for their sized mouths so if anyone knows where I can get them please let me know, I should have just stocked up to begin with lol  Thanks guys :) |
humm I'm kind of curious now about that since Phoebe is a picky eater too:rolleyes: |
*shugs* i'm not sure i haven't use one of those yet !! ;) |
Well, I can't find them anywhere! I guess either I have to drive about an hour to load up on some more of them - or either my babies will just have to do without :( Ewww....I didn't like the sound of that  :( My babies NEVER do without! LOL. Maybe the hubby and I can make a little road trip this weekend ;) :p |
I tell you what! I memoed the name on my cell. Next time I go to my local Walmart Ill keep my eye out for them, K? |
I personally wouldn't use anything by Hartz. Some of their flea products have severly injured and killed dogs and cats and they still sell them. So, I dont trust them! |
Here's an alternative website for the bones...... Hartz Dog Products Use the link above to find the Hartz Tiny Dog Dental Duo, it's about 25 cents more than Wal-Mart, but they sell out fast at our Wal-Mart and believe me, our rat terriers love them, too! Stock up, it's entertainment for them and keeps them from destroying their toys. |
Another place to find them............. http://www.ablackhorse.com/productcart/pc/viewCart.asp This site has them for $2.05 and they are in stock.........good luck!:) |
Thank you so much for these links! Oh my gosh, I started this thread over a year ago so I totally forgot about it, LOL. Our Wal-Mart has them again though :p They started stocking them again quite a while back, but you are right, they sell out of them SO FAST!! I usually buy several of them at a time :p I don't particularly 'like' the Hartz brand either  and I actually I don't buy any of their other products EXCEPT these. My babies have always loved them and they do keep them very busy :p I do supervise them constantly when they are chewing them and if I'm not right there watching them while they are chewing on them, then I simply just take them up :) They have never had a problem with them though and they absolutely love the things! Silly babies! :p Thanks again for these links sweetie! :D |
I just bought one for my BF dogs but have yet to give it to them. I have had it for like two weeks…Hehe…I'll have to get it out and give it to them. |
I have one of these for leo and he loves it! glad you found some. they are really really great and last a while. It's one of his favorite toys |

I purchased his when I was getting ready for him to come June 7th. He still has it and loves it. Though after reading how difficult they are to get I will be getting more when they have them. ha ha |
Oooo I really want to try these.. but with shipping it is sooo expensive. 2 dollars for treat... 7-10 for shipping! |

Do they really last a long time? I am trying to find something that Max and Madison will chew on while we're in the car! I got them some things called Twistix (they're totally edible, all natural, and have mint in them to freshen breath). They're hard hard hard....and I gave one (these were pretty big actually for small dogs, but I was thinking "oh well....it will take them FOREVER to chew it up anyway"....WRONG!!! In less than 10 minutes BOTH dogs surfaced from whatever cover they could find to hide from each other so they couldn't snatch it from the other one, with not even a trace of the chew:eek:. I was POSITIVE that they'd just left it lying somewhere and came out to look for something else.....NOPE.....they were totally DEVOURED. I was SHOCKED just b/c I thought they were virtually indestructible, but also b/c I'd emailed the company to find out the caloric value of them and EACH one was something like 75.48 calories:eek: That's enough calories for ME for a snack! Luckily, not a lot of fat in them (most of the calories are from rice)but STILL.....actually that was another reason I didn't get the Hartz chew...no calorie count on it. But I can always call the company up to find out. If these are the same ones I saw, I'm going to have to get a couple for the car trip this week! If only I could find something to keep them occupied for 10 hrs, LOL:rolleyes: |
