No Barking I am wondering if anyone has encountered something like this....I have a 1 year old little tiny Yorkie baby...She weighs just under 3 lbs. She does not bark or cry. Occasionally when I am holding and stroking her she makes a sort of purring sound but that is it. Anyone know anything about this ? I sure would appreciate some information. I am so worried that if she gets hurt or something she will not be able to tell me..... Thanks....:( :( :( |
Some dogs just naturally are quieter. Both of my kids are quiet. They don't really bark or anything, but when Coco has gotten hurt she squeels. I wouldn't worry about it, she's probably just not a barker. You should thank your lucky stars..lool..I'm sure if it came down to survival she would be vocal :p |

Winnie didn't use to bark...we had to encourage it so that we knew when she had to go to the bathroom. (By "encouraging" I mean that my husband and I would bark, and then she would copy, we're weird, I know, but it worked). As for knowing when your puppy's hurt, you just need to study her behavior. You'll notice right away if she's not herself. But if she's in pain she'll cry or whine, she just hasnt felt the need to do that yet. Hope that helps. |

YOU are so lucky!!! Count you blessings!!! Lilo is just draving me nuts with her barking!!! I don't think that there is anything wrong with your girl, she is just quiet baby or maybe she is part cat LOL:D |
Keely doesn't bark that much either. She is very quiet. She too purrs or she make little grunting noises. Shes a snuggler and is always right up in my neck. |
