Fantasia surgery Please pray for Fantasia, she is having her surgery tomorrow (spayed). I am so nervous. She is 8 months old. I hope its not to early. Can someone give me so information on how I should care for her after surgery or just what to expect. I am sooooooooooooooo nervous. |
I was the same way with my first 2....I cried when I dropped them off! They were only 6 months old and one was just under 3 lbs! But I trusted my vet and they pulled out just fine! Expect them to be very sleepy! I slept on the floor with them the first 2 nights. Some recommend putting onesies on them so they cannot lick the incision but I didn't have that problem. Ask for pain meds just in case. They are very strong, don't worry mom! |
Prayers are on Fantasia's way . |
I would keep her in the ex-pen attached to the front of the crate, so she can't run or play. After the meds all wear off (in a couple of days) they seem to feel normal, but you have to remember they just had major surgery and need to say calm so they heal better. No jumping and such. I'd keep her confined for at least two weeks, and if you take her in the yard, make sure she's on the leash. |
Thank you all for your prayers and help. Fantasia is doing fine. She is starting to get back to her busy little self. |
