She's acting like a crazed nymphomaniac! Pippa is just being weird! She's in her second heat ever (she's almost three...so it's weird). I plan on getting her spayed after this heat. My boy, Scout was neutered when he was 6 months old. Anyway, this hasn't stopped him from trying to get a piece. I had to take her bloomers off to wash them (I know, I need another pair) and she invited Scout back to her place....behind my bed where she hides her doggie biscuits and other things she treasures. She is very discreet about the whole thing. Anyway, they got tied...she's very kind to him and stands very still until they are unstuck. After they get untied, she acts like a wild animal!! She is chasing Scout around like a crazy dog and trying to mount him!! He's just about had enough and is trying to hide from her but she hunts him down and won't leave him alone. Poor guy! He's like, "geez, I gave you all I had...leave me alone!" What is she doing? Is this normal behavior for a female in heat?? She's acting so aggressive! |
It's what instinct tells them to do. I didn't think neutered males went after girls in heat. |

How funny! :p I won't sing the first part of this song...I'll just sing the second part. Those in the know can fill in the blank. :D "...me love you long time..." LOL |
I saw the title and thought you were talking about my husband! I just had to check!:D :D |
All this time I thought the guys were the horny ones. That little hussy:D I hope the doc fixed your guy up right. I never heard of a neutered male going at it with a female in heat. He must have thought he died and went to heaven:p |
neutering Well, thought I'd share with you what my Vet told me. I've been around dogs all my life and thought I knew just about everything....turns out, even though a male has been neutered, he can still perform -- they are just infertile (another words, shootin' blanks) for a lack of a better term. Little did I know this to be true. My female Yorkie is in heat presently and I have 2 other neutered males (different breed) inside dogs with her....I have to continually monitor them until she's out of heat. You'd think when a male dog looses his testicles (they shrink away after neutering) they'd completely forget about this mating ritual. My Vet also said, if they have ever bred before and even though neutered, they will not ever forget. Just my luck! Just thought I'd pass the word. One thing I did think of .....but have not tried it on my males -- when I had horses years ago, I'd place a little bit of Vicks Salve on the nostriles of the males. They couldn't smell a mare in heat then. Worked well for horse shows and parades. Dogs on the other hand would probably continually lick at their noses trying to remove the salve -- and I'm sure it would not be good for their health. |
