Are Yorkies spiteful? I recently placed a post about Teddy peeing on my bed. Today I came home, gave Teddy kisses, but didn't take him out to go pee. My boyfriend had got home before me and had let him out in the backyard to go potty. I had to pick my car up from the mechanic before 7:00 and didn't have time to walk him. I wonder if Teddy was mad because I didn?t take him on his usual walk around the neighborhood when I got home. Instead, I got home gave him kisses and walked back out the door to get my car. Do yall think he tried to show me he was mad by peeing on the bed? |
maybe... Gizmo gets like that ....not on the bed but when I am late or cannot take him somewhere EVEN THOUGH I might have already taken him to potty he will pee right in front of me ... like... "fine mommy, BYE.." |
We only perceive them to be like we want or think them to be, but no, dogs are not spiteful. Maybe he was just too excited. |

I agree with that. I don't think dogs are spiteful. Usually if they accidentaly pee, its out of excitement. |
Okay. I don't agree that they are not spiteful. I've ran into this a few times.. The first time was when my daughter was blowing a 'birthday horn' and I didn't even think that it would be bothering Louie. After a few minutes of her noisemaker, Louie jumped up on the couch a PEED ON MY FOOT:eek: There was absolutely no other reason for him to do this, as he had NEVER done anything like that before... Especially on the couch... So, I do believe they're spiteful.. more recently, when we brought another Yorkie home, Louie wouldn't kiss me for 3 days... that was awful. |
spiteful is a human emotion and no matter how badly we want our babies to be........ they just can't be human. |
Yes, Trixie is totally spitefull!!! If we are in the front yard talking to neighbors with dogs for more than a minute or two and don't let her out with us, 9 times out of 10, she will poop in the floor!!! Gross! She will also do this if I give her a bath and make her stay in the bathroom to dry off some. Or if I shut her out of my daughter's room when I go in to help her clean (small parts to toys = not good for doggies) Or if we are trying to brush or do something to one of the other dogs and put her in a separate room to keep them from playing while we are at work. Poop...every time:rolleyes: |
I belive it, too funny... we all have our dark sides don't we. |

Yes, I think he was letting you know. I have 2 boys and they are very spiteful. I also have a girl, she's and agel. I could let my boys out to go potty and sit down to eat something and if I ignore them, the will pee in the house. |
I've heard dog training experts say that dogs do not experience the emotions spite or revenge, but the things they do sure make you wonder sometimes don't they? |
you got him excited then walked out the door i dont blame him |
