asking on behalf of my mom! lol.. my mom is so funny. she is always saying to me.. ask "your people" what they think... so this time i will :) My mom wants to know if any one else's yorkie burries their head when they sleep? whether layla is laying on blankets or in your arms her little nose always has to be burried.. is this a yorkie think or a layla thing? |
Sometimes Rocky like's to be burrowed up, he tries to sleep undernieth my bf and I if he's cold. I just wrap him up in his own blanket though cuz I don't wanna squish him. Other times he sleeps on his back like a human. |
Kalani always burrows his head under my arm or his own or goes under the covers. Hoku on the other hand has to have her head up high and she hates being under covers. Crazy kids:) |
"Your People" - Love it! lol Yes - we have noticed that Calliope tucks her nose under her back leg. She curls up in a little black ball and all you see is the ears sticking up from the middle. Cutest thing! |
I haven't been able to get a picture yet because the slightest move makes him pull his head out but sometimes Gus shoves his whole head in a slipper and goes to sleep. It is sooo funny. |
YES!! Both of my babies ALWAYS have their noses tucked in under my arm when I hold them...its soooo cute!! I just wanted to say HI to your mom...she should join and become one of us!! Dawn |
I've got two Yorkie head buriers here. ;) Usually only when napping though. The biggest stereotype around here moreso is that they like to lay on their backs w/ their legs up in the air. |
Mine don't really bury their heads but Teddy likes to sleep with his two paws cupped around his snout. It is so cute. I have tried to get a picture but you can never tell what it is. You have to see it in person to appreciate it. Daisy likes to lay on her back a lot with belly exposed. I think that looks so cute. |
"your people" LOLOL ohh thats to funny! Nope, Lillie or Baby don't bury there nose, wonder why layla does? Can't wait to meet you and your mom in May!!! This is just to exciting!!! |
Tell your mom that "your people" agree that it is indeed a loved yorkie thing. My 2 bury themselves underneath the blankets or eachother all the time to nap..:) Also tell your mom that "your people" say hello to her and that she is a sweety! |
Sleeping Cuties Yes--Cappucino loves to bury his head while napping on our lap however when it is bedtime, he gets on the bed and sleeps spread out with all paws streched out. It is so cute!! :dogzzz: |

OH MY GOSH..."your people" LOL! :yelrotflm That is SO cute and totally sounds like something MY mother would say  :p lolol Stedman doesn't necessarily burry his head when he SLEEPS...but sometimes when he jumps on his bed and rolls around on it, he will all of a sudden decide to stick his face down in the crack of the bed and stick his butt up in the air and he just sits there like that - I HAVE NO IDEA WHY HE DOES THIS  The Stud-man has a personality all his own  |
I'm one of "your people" I guess. Momiji bury her nose under my arm when she takes nap on my lap. It is very cute and I love it. |
Yes Harvey Does Like To Bury His Head - Either Under Your Chin Or He Will Snuggle Under His Blankey, He Really Loves Being Covered Up. You Can Wrap Him Like A Baby And Hold Him In Your Arms And He Will Sleep For Hours ------ Ahhhhhhh Bless I Have Never Had Another Dog That Is This Affectionate, He Just Loves Cuddling And Kissing Us........ |
Maggie will stick her nose in the crack of my chair between the seat and the arm and sleep beside me when I'm sitting there watching tv. lol looks like they would smoother. She is also bad to put her face under my arm at my elbow shen shes in my lap. Their such silly little dogs. |
My girl sleeps n naps on her back with all paws up in the air :D My boy always has to have his face under our chin, under his little pillow or under his blankie :D He always has to cuddle she's more on her own when she's napping |
Yoshi does that everytime we sleep. |
I think it must be a feeling of security for them. Mine only do that when they are being held. They wont even get under the covers unless they are half frozen. :D |
