Legs Out Front Carrier 1 Attachment(s) I just ordered this legs out front carrier for Codie in a size medium. I hope I got the right size. The small is for a dog 10 lbs or under and the medium is for a dog 20 lbs or under. Codie is only 8 lbs but I didn't want the carrier to be way too snug or tight so that's why I got the medium. Do you think I made a mistake and should have ordered the size small? http://thepuppyshop.com/petcarrier2.html PS - I guess it's not a big deal because I can always exchange it for the size small if it's too big but I just hate having to go through all that hassle. :( |
That's so cute! Let me know if he likes it. Miko is 10-11 lbs and I have always wondered if he would sit in one of those comfortably. We have a stroller anyway, but I like those front carriers a lot. |
No I think I would have ordered the medium too |

I have a custom made front carrier for Codie (and Tia and Cali lol) right now but honestly, I don't think it has enough support and wearing it makes me nervous that the velcro will open and Codie will fall out. This carrier looks much more secure and safe. Let's hope it fits!! :D |
I was just looking this week at that same carrier and trying to decide whether to get it or not. My Toby is also 8 lbs and I was thinking of getting the small but maybe now I should get the medium as well. Let us know how Codie is liking it and if you like it too! |
We have one of the front carriers for Magic and Sailor and they love it. They are not the biggest fans about getting into them b/c it is an unnatural position for them, but once they are in, the girls LOVE it. They are right there with you and it gives you both hands to still use. We use them alot when we go to craft shows or Canton...it was an excellent purchase. We have a stroller as well, but these are great for those times when you don't want to drag a stroller around with you!! |

I will probably get Tia a front carrier in pink (size small) but I know she would only use it once in a while (since she LOVES to walk almost non-stop). :D I'd get one for Cali but there's nothing even remotely small enough for her. I may have to have one custom made again but just be sure to have them reinforce it enough so that I feel it's more safe and secure. |
I have one in small for Murfee. He is 5 lbs but the small is still too big for him. He doesn't like it at all. I have another kind that kind of looks like a front back pack that he rides in. I has a sturdy bottom and mesh on the rest of it. He usually sticks his head out and looks around. We also have the stroller but haven't used it yet. |
I have been looking at these a lot also. I have decided to get one that is not "legs out" as to me it seems to unnatural a position for them, especially if it is going to be a long time. I think I will get one with a stiff bottom that they can stand on or lay down in. |
Murfee does great in the one with the stiff bottom. |
I got the medium blue carrier in today and it's way too big. :( So now I have to send it back in exchange for a size small. I'll let you all know how the small fits when I get it in. :p |
