Vet today... Gizmo is up to 4.2 lbs! He is only 15 weeks old.. I guess he is just gonna be big! I just hope he doesn't get over 10.. thats the limits for my apartment... the vet said he isn't over weight or fat.. he is perfect.. I got him january 26 at 2.1.. now he is 4.2! DO you think he is gonna be HUMUNGO? |
I think he will be about 7-7.5 lbs. You double the weight at 12 weeks and it gives you an estimate |

well that would be nice.. I don't mind him being larger..just not to the point where he gets kicked out of the apartment! |
My male is 10 lbs and he is still small looking. They probably wouldnt even know the difference |
That's my thought too...He'll still look small and nobody will even know the difference. Kim and Teddy |
My little guy was supposed to be 5 pounds. He weighs 9 pounds and just turned a year old yesterday. He still looks so small. I call him "little guy". I don't think you will have a problem. I don't think they will weigh him. |
If that's him in your avatar, he's adorable.:p |

Don't worry. Every dog is different. Cozy was 7.5 pounds at 4 months. The vet said she would be 16 or 17 pounds. She stopped growing when she weighted 10.5 pounds. She is not fat and does not look or fill like she weights 10 pounds. If your dog looks small ie less than 20 pounds I don't think you should have a problem. I don't think they are going to weight your dog. I have a friend who limit is 10 lbs. as well but her dog is 20 lbs. and has never had a problem. The manager and building owner have seen the dog and never said, "Your dog is too big." As long as the dog is quiet and fairly none distructive you should not have a problem. 10 lbs. limits are made so that people don't try to bring in larger dogs. What would they do if your dog was 10 lbs and got fat kick you out? I don't think so if your are a good tenant. Good Luck. |
Bandits was 2.2 when i brought him home on 1/25/07 and hes up to 4.4 now. Of course they told me "He will be about 4 lbs." Yea.. |
I just looked to see how much Winston weighed at 12 weeks, 3.2#'s...well he's 7.9#'s today at 3 years old. A little bit more then double. But he also does not look BIG. Ya just gotta love 'em!!! |
