Anyone travel on plane with their yorkie?? My yorkie is 12 weeks and I have to fly this weekend. I was thinking about bringing my puppy on the plane...any advice for me?? Is this a bad idea? |

We took Maxi from Indy to NC a few years ago. It was $200 round trip. Make sure you get the health papers from your vet. Maxi was a doll during the travel. One of the stewardesses was a bear :). Who can resist such a cute face? She was so mean when I took him out for some water during our layover(we kept the same plane.) |
I brought my puppy home on a plane. You have to call the airlines directly and make a reservation, there are only so many pets allowed in the cabin. You will need a current health certificate from your vet. They charge you a fee each way mine was $80.00 for her to fly under the seat. My flight was overbooked, but I did take her out of her carrier, the flight attendants didn't say anything (I picked the last seat in the back of the plane, window seat) and I warned my seatmates I had a puppy and would be taking her out. They didn't mind. It was fine and worked out. We were on a plane a total of 6 hrs. I took her into the bathroom and put her on a pee pad to go potty. She did get sick, so bring some baby wipes. |
