Dental Coming up on the 21'st Ok, I'm really nervous. Harley is getting his first dental on the 21st. He's never had one before because he's never needed it. (I brush his teeth daily w/ the Petzlife and scrape them with the scaler) I'm just really nervous about him going under the anesthesia. He's not a really small dog, he's 10lbs but it still makes me nervous. I'm having it done through our on staff vet at work (she's had experience with small dogs). I'm going to get the pre-surgery bloodwork done of course to make sure he is ok to go under. But I can't help it, I'm still so nervous.:( |
Harley will be a champ!!! Sam and I will be sure and say a prayer to keep Harley safe and for Mom!:) |
He'll be okay :) We'll be praying that everything goes well, but try not to worry yourself too much! I was so worried about Miko getting bladder stone surgery a week and a half ago also. He has a compromised liver, so it's always scary when he has to go under since his liver can't handle too much. But we had his teeth cleaned while he was under so that we didn't have to do that again later, and everything turned out okay! Prayers going out for your baby! |
I know exactly how you are feeling. I do Murfee's grooming because I can't stand the thought of leaving him anywhere. He has a baby canine that needs to be removed but I haven't had it done because I don't want to leave him or have him under anethesia (besides the thousand dollars) they want to do it. I am a bigger baby than he is. |
Thanks for the support. I think I'm more nervous than Harley is too! lol |
Two of my cats have had their teeth cleaned in the last 3 months. It's no big deal, your baby will do fine. Baby will be home and eating his dinner before you know it. This is much easier than a neuter. It's safer and better for the dog to have his teeth cleaned than not. |
Emmy, our one year old yorkie, just had two baby teeth removed a few weeks ago. Everything went fine--she was a little groggy until the next morning--was up at five and eating great! |
