Puppy food/Adult food I leave dry food out for the dogs all day. Tucker is 5 months (as of today!) & Biddy is almost 2. I have been leaving out puppy food and they both eat it. I know Biddy should be eating adult food, but is there anything that she is missing by eating puppy food? I also feed them canned "wet" food twice a day (she is getting adult food at this time). Is the dry puppy food going to harm her at all? |

Biddy is actually VERY thin. I think she could actually use an extra pound or 2! I'll keep an eye on her though, and will check with the vet to make sure she is not getting overweight. Thanks! |
Then I think you are on the right track...Maximus is still a puppy but he is getting fat according to the vet(my fault)...so I was told to cut out his natural balance roll with his meal..he is only allowed to get his Royal Canin, treats for doing good and I am allowed to give the natural balance roll cut small for treats but by giving him the roll with each of his meals (3x a day)..he gained a 1lb. in a week..so i got yelled at..lol, but maybe it would help biddy gain weight..he loves the natural balance rolls and Maximus is really picky |
What are natural balance rolls? Are they those things that look like sausages at the pet stores?? |
They are wrapped almost like salami....come in beef, turkey or I think lamb???..I only feed the turkey and beef because I persoanlly wouldn't eat lamb so I feel bad giving it to my dog..lol..here is a link http://www.naturalbalanceinc.com/pro...s.html#Product I know alot of people feed it to them for their entire meal..but since he's a puupy I was just adding it as a tasty supplement for him..but now only a treat ..I guess (Bad mommy..lol) |
