new dna test Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone has heard of a new dna test that can tell you what mix your dog is. If anyone has info on this could you please pass it on to me. I purchased what was suppose to be a purebred yorkie over a year ago and she looks nothing like a yorkie. I have contacted the breeder many times and basicly what I got is too bad. If this test is available and I am able to prove that my dog is a mix I might be able to stop this breeder from doing this to others. Thanks meeshue |

Thanks for the quick reply. I see another thread just started about this. Can you please tell me what you mean by roots being mixed? The breeder swears that she has no other breeds that could of gotten mixed in. Thanks meeshue |

Thank you so much for that info. As I did see the parents of my pup and they looked just fine. I was going for champion I was just going for pet quality. Believe me I would not trade her for the world she is just the perfect dog. I was just curious. I feel that if the breeder is misleading all the buyers that she must be stopped. I only paid $500 for her so it isn't so much the money. I guess for $50 more dollars I could put my mind at rest. meeshue |
that dog on your avatar is a mix if that is the one you are talking about. i hope it isn't your yorkie. |

Yes it is my yorkie! I know in my heart she is a mix. Even though she is ckc registered and I saw the parents deep down I know she is a mix. It breaks my heart because I had wanted a yorkie for a very long time and a friend of mine told me about this breeder. I know it was a reasonable amount to pay for good quality yorkies go for far more. All I wanted was a pet quality, but at least one that has hair! lol Thanks for your input. meeshue |

Do you have a pedigree? Good luck on the tests. |
she is 1 year six months old. Yes I have more pics of her when she was little. I should have known that something wasn't right back then when her hair wasn't growing. I guess I put the blinders on because I loved her so much. Anyway I love her all the same. Just can't do the bows. I will try to find the pics and post asap. Thanks |
No she does not have a pedigree that is why I only paid $500 for her. I was not interested in that. |

to me she looks like a chihuahua x yorkie 2 of my favorite breeds :D |
I also thought chi/yorkie. I have seen pics on the internet of that mix and looks alot like my sasha. Thanks to all for the kind words and Yes I Am going to do the test just so the breeder knows that someone out there is willing to go the extra mile to expose her. meeshue |
i have seen large dogs with that same head and those gorgeous, kind eyes, but don't know what it was. i don't think it has CHI in it either. i am sure you love it all the same no matter what but it is a shame you got cheated. is your breeder aware of what he looks like now? |
