OK, So, I got Gizmo like a month and a half ago now I guess.. Anyway, his breeder was very scatter brained and absent minded.. I should have NEVER bought from her, but too late.. anyway, I am trying to get her to send his papers.. she gives me all this crap about not being in then being in then not being in.. Now, she says I can't get them till he is neutered???!!?? Despite all that.. She sends me a COPY of the paper that SHE is supposed to fill out.. and it is for the BYA.. Biewers I believe.. But, I am not sure why she is registering with them.. Is my yorkie a Biewer? I thought they were born mostly white.. anyway, I am just frustrated and confused.. I guess I don't need papers for my little man.. :mad:

Maybe her dogs really wasn't registered. I have heard of that happening before. They say they are AKC and then you never recieve papers....:confused: I hope you get things taken care of soon.

I'm not sure why she is doing this. Is your baby a split? What color is your puppy? I'd have a long talk with her for sure and get her to answer all your questions.

he looks like a yorkie... and I am pretty sure he is.. the COPIED paper she sent had her info like her numbers and the parents numbers, etc.. I just dont know why she is registering with BYA i don't know. I am supposed to email this week to get her to send them.. she is so stupid

Good luck with everything! I am in a similar situation... I was also told that I had to wait to get the papers until the puppy was neutered, but I knew that from the start. It did make me a little nervous though and I'd be interested in seeing what people have to say!!

Are you sure your breeder is not being absent minded on purpose? Maybe there are no legitimate papers at all?

I sell all my puppies on a spay and neuter contract and withhold AKC papers until I receive a vet certificate stating the yorkie was either spayed or neutred and then I will send papers. I've only had one person not ask for me to send the papers but all others have and have received them.

What is BYA? I think the Biewers are BOA..Biewers of America...there are Biewer owner here, PM some..good luck
PS..is this the puppy in your avatar..if so, looks Biewer-ish to me...some are nearly all white, others very black with white on leg, face and chest.

The BYA was one of the earlier Biewer Clubs in the U.S.

If you would PM me, who the breeder is/was, maybe I can find out what is going on for you.

I have 4 Biewers, 2 puppies, and one more litter due March 25. If you look at my website, does your puppy look anything like mine???

Thank you! I'm so glad to hear other breeders do this, I mean I completely understand why someone would, I just got nervous when I told people and they would look at me like I had something pulled on me.

Not to sound like a hypocrite since I did register my dog, but unless you are planning to breed him, why bother. Looking back on it, I wished I had saved my $15. The AKC takes registrations from Puppy Mills and the Hunte Corporation. I can see why breeders and show people register but we mere mortals should boycott this unscrupulous organization.

If they are a Biewers will they be as small as the yorkies?? Or are they all heavier dogs?

Also, she sent you a copy of the parents numbers for their pedigree. I'm sure if you ask there has got to be a way to look up those numbers and see if they are yorkie or Biewer. If Gizmo does turn out to be a Biewer I would definately go after the breeder for some of my money back. Because you honestly didnt get what you paid for though you love your little guy. Would you rehome Gizmo if he's not Yorkie? I'm just wondering if you've asked yourself these questions?

Biewer actually are more expensive than yorkies so you may have got a bargain if he is a biewer. They have the same size standard as the yorkie as they are considered a yorkie.

from what i've found.... anywhere from $2,000 - $5000

Turns out Gizmo's father is a Biewer from Germany.. and mother is a regular yorkie... sooo he is a "splitter" I wasn't aware of this..but to me he looks like a yorkie puppy.. I would never ever ever get rid of him for not being a yorkie.. I am starting to say forget the papers anyway!

If you don't plan to show or to breed, there is really no need to register them. but I would want to know why she doesn't have them, or why she can't figure it out.

If the father is a biewer, then your little guy is a carrier, which means absolutely nothing if you don't plan to breed. but if you breed to another carrier, or a parti or Biewer, you could get the tri colored puppies.

she sold him to me at a price that would be cheaper for just a pet. not if I wanted him to breed.. sooo she wants to know he is neutered first.. I don't know! She is so stupid.. I love my pup though so I am not really worried I guess.. Just want what I was told I would get I guess.

I guess that is why she wants him neutered first so I can't breed him and make money off of him?? I dont know.. How much do u think I shoulda paid for him?

he's a yorkie but just has one gene difference. you should have paid yorkie price for him if he was sold as a pet.

sounds like a good price if that's what the going rate of yorkies is in your area. he'll be every bit of yorkie that you wanted. the piebald carrier gene has no effect on anything else.
