I Give In *Waves White Flag* The past couple of weeks Gypsy has been waking in the night and weeing on the bed while we're in it, just at the end below our feet, I take the sheets off and wash them and the wash powder I use has a very strong scent of Lavender and Camomile so I know that no left over odour is on them... yet she does it again a few nights later... she has a pee pad in the bedroom and has always gone on it since she's been sleeping in the bedroom, she's even been on them the nights she's wee-ed on the bed! I can cope with this... I know she'll grow out of it, (hopefully(:hands:))... WHAT I DO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH... is this... I washed the sheets this morning after another accident, I don't have a dryer so it's taken ALL day to dry them on the radiator and by the time my OH was wanting to go to bed they were literally only just dry. I'm fastening the bottom of the duvet cover and Gypsy gets on the bed, wandered round it, sniffs it and p***es on it!!!!!!! Seriously, I'd JUST fasterened the last button!!!!!!!! :(  WHY! WHY! WHY! WHY! WHY! Does my pup HATE the smell or something!?!?!?!?! There, I've vented! :cry2: She's laying right next to me on the sofa, upside down, tummy showing looking at me with those big eyes... |
Have you done anything to clean the mattress? If not the smell is still there and she'll just keep going back to it. I think I'd have her sleep in her crate at night until she can get this under control. |

Awwwww, poor baby. Maybe she doesn't like the smell since that is the ony thing that has changed.....maybe it stimulates her to pee! Just a guess! Is she peeing in the "exact" same spot everytime??? |

Agreed, if it's in the mattress, unless you enzyme it, the odor will remain forever. I'd enzyme the heck out of the spots where she has gone, let them dry, wet them well again and soak it up with thick towels. Let it dry again and then put a waterproof mattress cover over it under the sheets. I had to do a spot that way where Indy went when he was sick. Then so be safe, I flipped the mattress over. Can you put a diaper on her while she is loose in the bedroom until she is being a good girl again? Tink always wears a diaper to bed even tho she's been dry for a week. When she is completely trained, and always goes on the tinkle pad, then I'll take the diaper off at night. And that's my :money: worth.:D |

I don't think you can get diapers over here and I don't think she'd take to them anyway, she wouldn't pee when she had her PJs on! lol Ohhhh, problem solved, I'll make her wear PJs to bed! (j/k) |
maybe is it time to try a crate?? |

you might try not letting the little stinker in the bed -i am struggling with a 5 mo old puppy who used to go on potty pads 75% of the time and now my little stinker has decided she will go whenever and wherever she wants, in the middle of playing etc-ON MY COUH EVEN! -no sniffing, just goes :( regression in my case... but yours, sounds more like he has a smell he is picking up on or something-?????? they are stubborn..... good luck! |
I wish you luck. Hope has never done it but Tootie does it on a SPECIFIC QUILT! I have two and everytime I Put this one on, he will PEE on it.. he has never gone on the other one... needless to say I hav not put the PeePee quilt on in quite a while. it has to be a scent and it has bee SO CLEANED! Even dry clean. I do put a rather thick backed sheet across the bottom of my bed, where they lay, maybe that would help... good luck! |
Well we had this problem a couple months ago. I don't know why, but it just started randomly happening... I'm away at college, so I would take what I have on the bed off. Put new on, take it home on weekends and wash it... But it happened for like a month straight every week. I would wake up in the middle of the night to a nice wet warm sensation thinking that I did it... haha   After about a month it stopped and so far so good. I don't know what the deal was. It only happened in the middle of the night, and while they were home alone. So we stopped letting them drink before bed, and I guess they were just mad cause we left them and was peeing on the bed to prove it. ;) It did happen while vacationing with my family this summer in the RV. Bentley was only like 7 months old and I know he was totally worn out by the end of the night... He was even so worn out one day he decided to pee on my sister green pillow (it did have grass like tassels... so I counted it as he thought it was grass :D ). |
maybe she just doesnt like your mate. |
