Flying experiences Have you ever flown with your furbaby??? How did they do? I searched and found lots of info about the airlines, flight attendants, etc...but how did you baby do???? |
I have flown with my two older pups on separate occasions- the older one has made overseas trips 3 times and the younger one has been on 2-3 hr plane trips 4 times. I take pee pads and an extra towel, baby wipes for any emergencies. I give them ice while we are on the plane- sometimes they lick it and sometimes not. I wouldn't say they enjoyed it but they did ok. If the airport has a family bathroom- I use it and let them walk around. Good Luck |
Vixxen has flown with me once - up and back, fairly short flight. She did better on the night flight. The flight home was during the day and she seemed more anxious. I did "sneak" her into my lap and just held my blanket on my lap as well so she couldn't be seen and she settled down but did alot of panting. I would take her again though. To my amazement, the airports let the dogs walk freely on their leash (and I saw some without too!), which is nice because it makes the time they have to be confined much shorter. |
