My Dogs are fighting. What do I do? We have three Yorkies. Two females (Pickles and Bear Cub) and one male (Oliver). Pickles is about 4 and a half weeks pregnant and has become very aggresive with Bear Cub to the point where we cannot have them out together at the same time. If they are out together they immediately go at it. They latch on to each other and I have had to seperate them. They bite each other hard. It is actually quite scary. I don't know if Pickles is being territorial or trying to be a protective mother already. She doesn't have a problem with Oliver except when she wants to eat (which I also find odd). She eats first. Bear Cub is significantly larger than Pickles even though she is a full year younger and now only about six months old herself. Is this an issue with them maybe? I really need some advice. I don't want to have to get rid of any of my dogs. Thanks Kristen |
I don't have an answer for you but.....six months old and pregnant? |
Pickles is the one that is pregnant she is a year and a half old. |

Sorry, I misunderstood the post. I still don't have an answer, but I wonder if it's because she's pregnant? There are lots of breeders in the breeder talk section of this forum and they can probably help you. Good luck:) |
Thanks for your help:-) |
I am pretty certain that I have read you need to separate the pregnant females from the other dogs. She is just protective of her babies and will become even more so after they are born |
