Disturbed by cruelty stories? Is it just me or does anyone else find the stories on animal cruelty so disturbing that you just prefer not to know or hear them.......I understand that on one hand if it's not brought out in the public then nothing can or will be done to stop it... but... on the other hand I feel I have no power or the knowledge to do anything about it ..... I'm so upset & disturbed after reading these things I can't get it out of my head for days or sometimes weeks that I just can't bring myself to click on them any more... I hope I don't hurt anyone that posts these because I realize it does need to be addressed & maybe the right people will see it & know what to do...I just wish these things didn't happen in the first place. |
I hate hearing them aslo, my skin crawls:( and to be honest I can't watch them if they have a video link, cause I get to upset. Yes you are right though their stories need to be told and people need to be aware:( it is necessary :( Bianca |
yes. I can't get alot of things out of my head. :( :( :( But the more they're discussed - the more people find out what's really happening in our country. If no one talked about it because it's upsetting (and it really is)...then we would never know. Hopefully the more people who are touched by something particulary awful will reach out and maybe one day our laws will change for the better. |
It has been on my mind lately because the news has been covering a story in my area for the past 2 days that is very disturbing.... Every time it comes on I quickly change the channel.....I hope like H*ll they find the monsters who did this. |

It is hard to hear about and see reports of such cruelty. It would be so much nicer to believe humankind above such things. But I think it is important to have them reported. People need to know that this sort of cruety exists. We need to know who those people are. We need to all find ways to combat the evil. It makes me think of the Holocaust -- no one likes to be reminded of the atocities that people committed against their fellow human beings either. I sometimes turn away from the History Channel when it gets too graphic. But it is important to know that that sort of evil exists so we can guard against it ever happening again. Not comparing the two -- but just that evil is evil however it rears its ugly head. And we need to be aware and vigilant. |
I wish I could have 20 mins in a closed room with each and every animal abuser. They would never touch an animal again!!!!! Just makes me sick to see all the horrible things that "PEOPLE" do to animals. Thats why its important to donate to as many dog rescues and dog charities as we can financially. These poor animals NEED OUR HELP!!!! |
Maybe the uncomfortable feelings come from feeling so helpless in these situations... if I could do something then I would be making a difference, but when I can only sit back & be a spectator it\'s frustrating.... I would feel more empowered if I could do things like... report them, testify against them or do to them what they did to those animals:D |
Everytimes I read about crualty stories , I am disturbed . I am even more disturbed when I receive phone calls to go help a little one in need . My heart almost stop everytimes that I see what humans are capable to do when it comes to animals . |
I try to stay away from stories of animal cruelty. I get so upset and stressed out over the sicko\'s that do these things and then I get myself more upset because our local legal systems allow it to go on and on usually with no more than a slap on the wrist! Save the trout, bears, birds and wild animals but continue to abuse, terriblely our domestic animals. Insane and makes no sence. Carol & Buddy |

I can read them as long as they are not too graphic. I am the type of person who cant watch someone getting killed with a knife on tv or any graphic stuff. They all bother me though |
I can\'t click on any of the threads here that have to do w/ crulety...I have to skip them..Lyn, I\'m glad you mentioned to donate..it\'s so obvious but I didn\'t even think of a donation as a way to help. Thanks for the input... I\'m going to do money or supplies when I can. |
I can\'t read the stories either. I know how sick some people are...but I can\'t read about it because it is way too depressing for me to handle. Now, if they caught the @#$%^&^% that hurt the animals...I THINK I COULD WATCH THEM GET BATTED AROUND. |
