Hair balls? I may also post this under the health or sick area... Do any of you have babies that cough up hair balls?? Like a lot of hair? My Vixxen does and has all along. It is kind of gross but more than that, it must make her tummy feel icky?! I have asked her vet before but she had never heard of a dog puking up hairballs! I am not a cat owner so I don't know if its the same kind of thing or if that medicine for cats would be healthy for my yorkie or even works? I feel bad for her and it's not normal!! Is it?? |
My Pheobe play with the cat a lot, and she did that ones, I also keep my cats (2) brushed.Other than that sorry:idontknow. but i won't give her any cat hair ball meds. But I will try to call other vets or search on line to see if I can get any answer:goodluck: |
Thanks. I guess its as odd as I thought since no one else has had this problem! And I don't know what to do?! Cause hair is not digestable! You've seen those shows on TV where a person has this HUGE hairball inside them cause they chew their hair!! YIKES! And no I will not give any medicine without consulting first... |
Ok you guys....no one has had this problem?? We ARE the oddballs aren't we?? :rollingey |
Oh Tink does this all the time! When I had my poodle, she used to chew on his ears and then she would cough up all the hair in neat little packages. Now, she just does it with the felt or "fur" from her toys. I have to keep an eye on her now that I know what she's doing. It's not really good for them. I take away the toy when I see she is eating it. My vet said to watch her but he wasn't really worried. |
Finally! I think this is rare, but figured there has to be a couple of us this happens to! Hmmm...well I guess Vixxen doesn't throw this up often, but when she does omg, it seems like huge amounts! It can't feel good in her tummy! Anyway, the last week or so she's had 3 or 4 episodes, some big, some smaller, but ew. She only really licks on her paws so how she picks up THAT much hair, I just don't know:confused: Thanks for your reply!! |
Now I'm a realy courious about this:thinking:, sorry can be more help:( |
