Adjusting is hard for everyone and sometimes it just takes time. When I was a kid we used to move around a lot and every new place we moved to I kind of felt out of place and had to re-adjust and get "comfortable" again. Maybe Hootie just needs some "adjusting" time of her own. Perhaps you could crate Lamar and Hootie in the living room or somewhere where all of you are and just let Hootie run around for a little while, then let Lamar out with her for a bit with Hobbs still in his crate and then eventually let all three of them out.

I'm sure everything will work itself out in time! Hugs to you and Hootie!
Thank you so much, Joy! :) :) :) I think what you said is going to be the key...I'm just going to have to spend time with Hootie and Lamar one-on-one and "teach" them how to play with each other and interact with each other. I'll keep you updated on how it goes. Thanks again. ;)

Lamar is BEAUTIFUL!!! He is huge. How much does he weigh? Poor Hootie, I think she will adjust soon. Give her a big hug for me and Hannah.

Lamar is 12 weeks and about 20 lbs. He's gonna be a BIG boy!!!! Thank you for the compliments! :D

As far as the name, a really good friend of ours had a coon hound named Lamar that got shot by a hunter. :( :( :( We named our dog Lamar to commemorate him.

I wouldn't be able to say no to your pouty face either :p he is GORGEOUS !! I love Labs - I think the whole world loves labs - they're fantastic dogs....and that was so nice of you to name him in tribute to your friends poor dog....how sad

My friend just got a black this weekend and she is going to be a big one too, congratulation on your new baby Lamar is adorable. Will like to see a video of Lamar and Hobbs playing. Priceless:aimeeyork :animal36 :D

Here's a video of Hobbs and Lamar playing. This was taken about 3 weeks ago. Lamar is bigger now but they still play like this.

How cute is that???? It's so funny that the two males of the house are playing and getting along and the one female is laying low :rolleyes: Tell Hootie she's gotta play her cards right with these two boys, and she might just get all of their treats :D

Lamar is beautiful. It was so funny all 3 of mine were sleeping nicely in the bedroom with me when I played the video. They heard the dogs playing and all 3 started running and barking. I have had Pixie 4 weeks now and Cali still seems sad about it but they are interacting a little more lately. I try and give Cali her food first,her treat first and greet her first to make her feel special.

Thanks guys!!!! I made another video of Lamar and Hobbs playing 2nite and I'll post it later. Hootie has been getting some extra special attention. :D :D :D She's such a little princess.
