Any one else's Yorkie do disgusting things? I just caught Tia doing something that almost made me hurl....I have a couple of 12 packs of pop (in cardboard) in my front entrance. I'm busy putting stuff away and I see Tia picking at something by the boxes...I'm worried that she broke off some card board and was eating it, so I went to her to pick up the pieces. On closer inspection, I see that's it's chunks of food from her dinner that she threw up, and when she saw me come close to her she gobbled up the bits as quick as can be, as though I was going to steal them from her! EEWWW! Also, she grinds her teeth...annoying! Otherwise, I love her to bits:love: |
Hannah is obsessed with her poop. If we don't pick it up fast she will carry it off and hide it places, usually under her blankets in her bed but sometimes under the ottoman, under the chair, in her taxi, on the couch. Sometimes she just leaves it in one piece but usually she shreads it into a hundred different pieces. Tonight I went into the kitchen and there was about 25 little baby turds eveywhere. She used to eat it, sometimes I wish she still did eat it because at least then I didn't find it laying everywhere....LOL. |

I didn't even know she grinds her teeth until the vet pointed it out. The vet discovered it the same way I notice it now...I'll assume she's crunching on something...kibble, or some other random thing she may have accidentally found on the ground. I'll open her mouth to get it and find it empty. I let her go and the crunching continues! Now that she's 13 weeks, I know when she really has something in her mouth that shouldn't be there...like a dust bunny or piece of a (non-toxic) plant...she'll do this elusive backwards wiggle. It looks like the way I think the "Marley Mambo" looks as it is described in John Grogan's "Marley and Me". Smart little bugger! |

Tetley grinds his teeth too! When he's got a good chew going on with a stuffy's ear or something his teeth will start to make a really annoying creaking-type sound. Ugh! |
Oh, yes. Jazz can do gross things. Here is an example from an entry in his dogster diary: My Hobby February 23rd 2007 10:55 pm [link to this entry] Let's face it, Yorkies are eye candy. As a breed, we present a rather dainty appearance, and I must admit, I am possessed of a plethora of good looks. Yet I want to remind you, dear readers, that I am a terrier. I am a wild man. Mom will hardly let me out of the house , due to my manly escapades. Friends, I have rolled in things you would not go near with a ten foot leash. Cow pies, horse plops, the carcasess of things so long dead I couldn't even tell you what they used to be. Once, Mom was leaving me with my favorite niece for a weekend. She had me freshly bathed and smelling like lavender and baby powder when I stepped out of her taxi. While she unloaded my gear, I did a little nose-work and before you know it I was rolling on a ripe frog corpse. The frog was flat, having met his demise under the tires of one of the family vehicles, which made picking up his froggy fragrance a cinch. Before you know it, the girly smell was history and I reeked of decayed amphibian. My victory was short-lived as Mom insisted on bathing me again. However, living in the country assures one an endless supply of interesting olfactory experiences, and I am confident I will soon be rolling in something pleasingly pungent. |

All my dogs try to eat their pukies as soon as possible. Skippy is the only one that tries to eat his poops. So disgusting. |
Bobbi ocasionally goes in the cat's litter box and 'steals' poop. He hides it and then snacks on it.........EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! |
