Shower drama Hey guys, I need help with this. Every night I take a shower, my Tobie barks like crazy while I'm in there and tries to jump in....he can't now, but if gets a little bigger I'm sure he'll jump in no problem. Its a little frustrating because some nights I just want to take shower in peace and not have a turbo 2 minute shower. If I close the door and bedroom door so he can't get out, he barks too. I've tried to leave the curtain open a little so he can see me or talk to him, but nothing works. Any suggestions? Thanks, Tobie's mommy |
Oh I remember those days :) Simon was just like that and I became the queen of 2min showers. He grew out of it but I tried to occupy him while I was in the shower with a flossie or a kong toy filled with peanut butter. I would let him in the bathroom with me so I could keep an eye on him. I wish I could give you suggestions, but my 2 do the same thing to me when I take my baths. It's ridiculous. I have to keep the bathroom door open so they can see me in the bath tub, and even then Teddy will cry a little. They come to check on me every 10 or 15 minutes and then will leave afterward. BUT there is no more barking. That doesn't help your situation, however. I'll bump this to see if anyone else has any ideas. Good luck! When Teddy was all by himself.. thats when I had to take the 3 minute baths.. he was HYSTERICAL.. when I was in there. But when I got him Theresa a few months later he has seemed to calm down! we had as mix breed for 14 years and everytime my mom would take a bath he would stand at the door and cry and cry and howl. now my sister and i were young so we would bother our mom when she was in the tub and leave the door open and Shadow would look in but he would just stay at the door, now if you spoke to him he would come over and once he tryed drinking the bath water:eek::sickie: With Sunnie i take him in the shower with me, not all the time but when he gets his bath its always a shower, but i also keep the bathroom door open and he will stand there and wait for me hopefully your little boy will outgrow it Sunnie reacts the same way to the shovels,vaccumm cleaner,bikes,hockey sticks, clapping. and other things like that. oooo and the hair dryer. |
