Clothes for the "BOYS" Ok, I have been sitting here listening to all the little dresses and things for girls and have found very few clothes for the "BOYS". I am just getting started on this and not even sure I can do it but I'm going to give it a try. The first thing I felt I needed to do was see what YT ideas you ladies can give me. Ideas of what they would like to see in little boy clothes. Max has his HARLEY JACKET and his LEATHER VEST and he loves his BANDANAS in all colors. I used to sew all the time, Made all my own clothes and then my husbands work shirts but havent sewed for awhile. I got a new machine two years ago and it is still in box and thought it was time to bring it out. OK, ladies lets see what we can do for our little boys!! PS-Does anyone know of a sight that has Patterns? |
I love anytthing I can get with harness clips on them. I am very limited in what I can get My boy because I will only buy clothes with harness clips on them |
I bet this is going to be a popular thread...hope your ready for all of the ideas about to flow your way! Bernie needs cute manly t-shirts and tanks! We don't do the harness vests since my little teapots have tons of yorkie muscle, and he's got some great winter coats. But, he looks very handsome in his couple of tees. |
Me personally ... Im on the hunt for solids trimmed in a different solid color or plaids.... and I like the idea of the harness clips. |

oh...there's a thought: Options: D-rings (please make certain they are SECURE)for those who prefer it that way or Button holes for harnesses... |
I started making all kinds of pretty dresses for Tinkerbell, but my poor Chiquito, he is a male maltese:rolleyes: He loves clothes:eek: you just don't know, yesterday while I was making dresses for Tinkebell, he brought one of her dresses and wanted on:eek:, you have to see him, he is adorable:p Anyways I guess I'll have to start making him some clothes , I will share with you as soon as I do. Is just so much harder to me to make clothes for boys than it is for girls;) |
I like polo shirts and I like the idea of the solid shirts trimmed in another pattern -- that would be great! I think the little button holes for the harness would be great! none of Ludo's shirts have that :( |
Shirts, Shirts and more Shirts.... I would love to have a variety of styles. T-shirts(everyday), T-SHirts(holiday), sweaters, Tanks, Polos, Sweaters w/the collared shirt look under it, etc..... |

D rings are a must and you are right hardly anything cute for our boys!! |
I'm all for t-shirts w/ different sayings and patterns, and the little slit for the leash |
I find it hard to find boys clothes too. I hate all that cammo stuff, and that seems to be everywhere. I too don't trust the clothes with the clips or rings they seem to slip slide and I can't relax and have fun if I have to worry about an incident. |
I am a beginer sewer and find patterns are very difficult. I make boy's and girls clothes without them. I look at pattern books and get ideas on what to make. I've made some adorable dresses for my pupsters already and have made some vest harnesses for some of the fur-kids here at YT. I'm having such fun with it all. |
i just got home from Build a Bear... and they have a bunch of cute little boys stuff,, ( i got my grandson a new puppy(bear) with clothes and a puppy crate... he had to have it since I got a new puppy.... I have a female shih tzu I have tried to dress up and she is such a tom boy she won't even think about... I have a couple of shirts for my Samson... and bought a flannel sleeveless jacket with a strip of velcro around the neck ... it fits him great .. alll 1.5 lbs of him... but it is opened so his whizzer doesn't get on the shirt... |
