big puppy The female yorkie I will be getting is 5 1/2 weeks and already weighs 2.1 pounds. Does anyone have a yorkie that weighed that much but ended up staying small? |
Sounds like a healthy big girl!!! I hope you are not picking her up any time soon... too young to be separated from mom.... |
N ot me I had one that was 1 lb at 6 weeks and hes 10 lbs. My other one was 12 oz at 8 weeks and she is 6 lbs. I feed mine miracle grow. J/K |
Nope, just went to see her the other day but don't get her for awhile. |
I had a puppy that weighed 2.2 lbs at 5 weeks and now she is 5 months old and weighs 6 lbs. I am guessing that in the end she will be around 8 - 10 lbs. I knew she would be a big girl because her bone structure and body build was larger than her 3 sisters. She has doubled all of them. I hope this helps to answer some of your questions. |
My dog Lily was 2.5 lbs at about 5 weeks old and is now 10 lbs. |

lol i have one that is 8 weeks and weighs about 2 lbs |
Actually Zoie's breeder got a yorkie from a breeder, and i think she was like barely 2 lbs at a really young age.. like 6 weeks or something, but topped out at like 2.4 lbs |
I think there is no set growth pattern then because some seem to grow bigger over the same amount of time than others. Chloe was 2lbs at 8 weeks 3lbs at 12 weeks 4lbs at 16 weeks and now she's 4.5lbs at 5 months. Her mom is 6lbs and her dad is 4.5lbs. I don't think Chloe will get to be more than 6lbs. She has a small frame--very dainty. |
