5 pups in a yorkie litter?? Is that a normal size? I thought 3 was normal, is 5 average for a yorkie litter? |
5 is on the large side of litters for Yorkies. I have seen it here some. I've seen alot of 4 in a litter....So, I guess you can say, its not abnormal, just not as common. Your baby in your avatar is adorable!!!! |

Chloe had five, two boys and three girls. The smallest (my Darla) now weighs 3 pounds, 5 ounces. Porky (brother to Spanky) weighs 8 pounds 8 ounces. They're six and a half months old now and all doing great. |
The norm is 2-3 pups born to a litter. 5 is large! I had 6 pups once. Boy, did they keep me busy. This was many years ago and I still remember it. T. |
Maggie always had 2-3, Sunnie has had only litters of 2. Sunnie's momma, Angel, has had litters of 6,6,7,6 and her sister has had 5 & 5. :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork :aimeeyork that's alot of :aimeeyork !!!!! |
