1 or 0 testicles in males I don't know if this has been discussed before...but a breeder here in town has told me to be careful when purchasing male yorkies. Seems that there are more and more lately that have only 1 or even zero testicles. She said that when you go to see the pup, you are to check their scrotum and feel for the testicles. I went to a pet shop here in town. Don't know where they got this yorkie, but when I was feeling his scrotum, he only had one in there! SO BE CAREFUL!!! |
bump it on up! Important stuff here! |
i know this is bad.........lol.......... but for someone willing to neuter ALL pets i own zero testacles means less headache with the vet :p all teh same it isnt right and people should stop breeding the dogs that create this genetic fault. Oh, and sometimes the testicle may feel like only one, but it is only because the other one hasnt descended yet |
IMO , a person owning a dog with no testicles should be more worry because there is a great risk for troubles . |
Whew, I double checked Fred's and yup, his little apple seeds are there! Really small, but there! |
I once adopted a 6 week old mix (the vet said it might be a corgi mix) and at 6 months we dropped him off before school and work one day to get him neutered. About an hour later, my mom got a call at work from the vet and was told that Max had nothing to neuter. I think it was a genetic fault or the rescue had him neutered at 6 weeks which is horrible is if they did. Anyway, Max was viscious (sp?) and bit people, even me. He made my little step brother who was 10 at the time get stitches in his face. We had to get rid of him. Maybe he was viscious (sp?) cause of the genetic fault?? |
