Driving me nuts!!!! I am getting so fustrated with Banjo. He is 5 and a half months. He was neutered last week. He bounced right back within a day. But now hes peeing and pooping in the house. I have him trained for outside. He was doing just great, always barking and ringing the bell to go out. Now, he barks to go out, I let him out, hes back in within seconds and then goes in the house:confused: Whats going on. He also seems very definant too. I have to show him life does not revolve around Banjo. But how:questione |
Having a relapse in house training is common after being spayed or neutered. Jo had a few accidents during the first couple of weeks after being neutered but then he got back into his normal routine. Hang in there...it will get better. Sometimes I wonder if it's their little way of 'getting back' at us for their little vet visit! ;) |

Thanks for the encouragment guys. Says she after just letting Banjo in from being outside and promtly pooped on the floor. Grrrrrrr:mad: |
I agree with the above advice that relapses are common and to use an enzymatic cleaner. It would also be a good idea to go "back to the basics" for a while - watch Banjo like a hawk, hurry him outside if he starts to potty inappropriately, take him outside regularly and stay with him until he does his business, and most importantly, reward him (with treats and praise) for appropriate pottying. I'm betting he'll get back on track again soon. |
A note to Banjo Dear Banjo, Pottying on the floor will not bring your "bits" back. It only makes Mommy mad. Trust us, we speak from experience. Sincerely, Otis and Oliver |
