Ear Taping Please excuse my ignorance, but how do you tape the ears? Lexie's ears were already standing up when I got her. My little guy Jackson has them partially standing up and partially down. Does this seem to bother them or hurt them when you tape them? What type of tape do you use and how exactly is it done? Thanks in advance for your help!!! |
check this out...it worked for me and many others on here...and it doesn't seem to bother them. maggie didn't even realize it was done :) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/sho...98&postcount=7 |
taping ears My yorkie is 8 weeks old and one of his ear is still floppy. The breeder told me to tape it and I think her way is amazinly simple. I cut a water drop shape (the size of his inside ear) in a piece of paper slighly more rigid then printer paper. Colored drawing paper is problably the right weight. I glue the back of the paper with eyelash adhesive and stick it inside his ear and that's it. His ear is perked up and I am less worried then using tapes. The one she uses is Ardell Lashgrip adhesive. She said they have 2 color tubes inside the box. Some box contain a clear tube where you see the glue. She said that one doesn't stick and I am to buy the one where the tube is white. I leave it on until it falls off then wait a day or so to see if it will stay up and redo it if it doesn't. I also have to make sure the hair is kept short. :) |
My vet said it doesn't hurt at all. I might give it a try ;) |
