For those with 2+doggies I am finding that I can't get enough of these little angels! Right now I have the 2 Yorkies, one just a puppy, and I do have a very sick Maltese - but she is our "special baby" and can't be treated like the others because she needs special care....so anyway, my question is..... How do you all have more than 1 or 2 and take them out with you? I mean, after 2, you can't carrier anymore carriers with you etc!?! So though I am finding that I want yet another one, how can I take them all with me or how do I decide who has to stay this time?? Yikes! I feel guilty when I have to leave them at home!!! So what do ya'll do?? |
you can get a pet sroller to put them in when you go out I'm getting a yorkie terrier and I bought so much stuff I'm getting a little girl I'm nervous I think I have everything but what are the main things you need????????? |
Haha-you're cute! I know though....they are like our little babies! My girls are my daughters, as I have 3 boys and a husband at home-lol! I'm sure theres a checklist for bringing home a new one ?? I guess.. A cuddly blanky A bed A carrier Nutro Cal (sp) - however I never bought that-I have karosyrup and I give them cereal for their sugar boost! chew toys/bully sticks pee pads collor or harness and leash puppy shampoo and grooming utensils bows! toothbrush and puppy paste little dresses...lol i bet you have all this and more!! |
Oh....and I am getting a stroller too!!:) :) :) |
thanks I'm just so nervous but yea how do you know if a dog is spayed one of my friends wanted to get a lab that is not spayed I don't care if my dog is spayed or not but yea quickly reply plz cause I have to go. |
Good Morning! We purchased one of the "burleys" that pull behind a bike AND will convert to a "stroller". It is actually for kids, but works perfectly for us (especially at campgrounds when we bicycle and hike). Shelby & Seymour absolutely LOVE it. They can't wait to get in it.... and they can go for LONG rides and walks without wearing out their little legs. We purchased the Schwinn brand (under $100 at Target) because the tires were larger and also were "air tires" not the hard rubber ones...... better ride for the furkids.... bumps not near as rough! It has a top with velcro and snaps on it that secures them in (at least ours can't get out of it...... but if you have a "houdini" , you may want to use a coupler strap that attaches to their collar to keep them more secure). There is also a swivel on the hitch for biking, so that if the bicycle turns over, the cart won't... a great safety! It really pushes easily when using it as a stroller, too.... but keep in mind, it is not a small item that you can easily take in and out of the car (when going to the mall, etc) like some of the dog strollers. It is quite a bit bigger. Sorry bout the novel....... but wanted to pass along the info..... hope it can help someone! :) ......... a gal we ran into at a campground loved this idea so much, she is planning on getting one to take to dogs shows. She has a larger dog ( I think a retriever) and said it would be great to keep her dog clean and much easier to push then a wheeled crate to and from the show site. |
The only time I take my two out together is when we go to an outdoor event. If I am going to a store I sometimes take Jewels in the carrier. She is smaller only 6 lbs Chachi is 10lbs. |
I have 4 dogs but only take the two Yorkies out and about. Our old girl dachshund doesn't like strangers and will bark, and our Jack Russell gets too nervous anytime we get near the car. I don't know if she thinks we are going to the vet or what -- but she shakes the whole time. The two Yorkies love getting to go -- but I only take them one at a time. It makes me feel more secure and I can give one all my attention. I rotate outings. We have about an acre of our property fenced so they all get out in the fresh air with lots of room to patrol. |
But when you guys leave one of the Yorkies at home, aren't they sad?!?! And I'd feel sad too! LOL! Oh hell....I think I may have to stick with just the 2 like my husband says! Maybe 3 will make life too hard  An example...We go to ALOT of sports games for our son (2-3 per week)...he plays at least an hour away from here. I normally bring Vixxen into the games in her carrier just in case they give me static. I'm trying to figure how to bring in the 2 soon, but 3.....just can't be done without a HUGE obvious carrier! Shoot...my husband may win this one  |
