Capstar? Hello everyone! Kelsey and I have been MIA for a few months and I haven't been on in a while, sorry! I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday season and are doing well. I was noticing more fleas on Kelsey than normal. I feel so bad for her. I gave her a bath, dried her really well, groomed her (got all dead fleas off), and then put some Frontline Plus on her. Now...i've noticed an improvement, but still see fleas. I called my vet and they recomended that I use Capstar. They're pills you give your dog/cat and they kill all fleas within about 5 hours. Have any of you tried this product? I dont want to use it if it's not a good product. I'm scared to feed her anything that is new, or that might harm her. So any insight or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I also heard that buying borax powder in the laundry isle and sprinkling it on my carpets, furniture and vaccuming it up, will help kill the fleas/eggs. Have any of you tried this too? Please let me know. Thanks and have a wonderful day!:D :D |
I think the Capstar is fine to use in conjunction with the Frontline if it's a one-time deal. I know Capstar is a pill that you give to them and it kills all the fleas really quickly. Then the Frontline will help prevent her from getting anymore fleas. Good luck. Fleas suck. :( |
WOW Nicole, i was just thinking about you, and have been for the past few days, wondering where you are, what you doing, and saw your post. I'm so glad to see you are OK!! I can't help much with the flea problem, but remember to wash her toys, bedding, and treat your carpets, and furniture with something too. I'm guessing the capstar is what they call program here, it comes in pill form, and have heard from friends that give it to their dogs that it helps. I get the heebies whe i think of flea's - it must itch like mad. Hope you get sorted out soon girl. ;) NICE TO SEE YOU, GIVE KELSEY BIG HUGS & KISSES FROM US!!!! :hearts6: :luvu: :hug60: |
My groomer back home gave that to my bunny when I was in town (in Tx) visiting my family. Last summer the fleas where SOOOO BAD! It worked really well.. I also had her on frontline + but I dont know if the fleas where just that out of control or what in Texas bc I always found fleas on my Bun bun. What I found that works really well is ADAMS products. Its not the BEST smelling stuff, but it dose the job! |
Thanks everyone. I will try it out and let you know how it works. :) |
