Licking like a Mad Dog!! Tinker just turned 1 a couple months ago, and it was like a switch that turned on some new behaviors. I mean it was like over night. She all of a sudden started licking my face like crazy. If I am laying down she will jump on me and lick my face like I have peanut butter on it. Now she is giving me wet willies to wake me up in the morning. It scares the crap out of me when she does that. She will sit on my chest and lick my face until I get up. I have even tried to get under the covers to get her to stop, but she will crawl underneath and attack me. It is actually pretty funny, because now she does it to everyone. I will purosely put her on my friends or family that are sleeping, and their faces are absolutely classic!!! It is just weird, because she has never been licking obssessive before. Does anyone elses yorkie do this? |
My 6mo old Oscar is a little licking monster. I'm not sure how common the behavior is, but I'd much rather have this quirk with him than some others I can think of..... :rolleyes: |

Both my dogs do this. Jewels is the worst though. She will wake you up several times during the night licking your face off. She even licks up your nose. Gross!!! |

Gucci does that too. She is so funny. She gives my husband wet willies all the time but not me, weird huh!. But she does licks my face, hands and feet. Yorkies are so lovable. :p :animal-sm :teethysmi |
lol that is how i wake my son up in the morning :D i open his door and let sebastain in lol he jumps on the bed and licks him to death donald will put the covers over his head and sebastain will "dig" at them untill he can get under and kiss him more he also lays across donalds neck so he cant get up and sebastain will be 3 in aug. to funny |
:p My Yorkie Riley is also a licking machine. He has been licking for a long time. It's funny because he won't stop until you make him. He will lick your face until you can't hold your breath any longer. It's crazy. He loves giving wet willies too. As far as I'm concerned, it's absolutely normal! :p |
archie licks my boyfriend all the time, but not me. then, we figured out that he really likes the taste of his moisturizer (Curel). |
Peanut is a serious licker too! He mainly licks faces, especially my nose for some reason. He gives "kisses" so much that we bought him a little t-shirt that says "WARNING: Can't hold licker" :D |
