11 week old yorkie humping Hi, I need some help.I just brought my baby yorkie home for the first time the other day and he keeps humping my boyfriend. I need to know if this bahavior is normal for his age. If anyone has any has any info for me would be good. How can I reduce this behavior?? Thanks Lauren New mommy to Snickers~:animal36 |
I think that is pretty normal. Maxi , my 6 year old yorkie, was neutered at 6 months and that still hasn't slowed him down :) - only difference is he LOVES sweats. |
I have 2 girls that are spayed, & they still hump each other. They never humped before getting spayed. Max is 14 weeks & I have him on video humping Piper on her back. |
Charlie humped when I brought him home at 7 weeks (his stuffed reindeer from Santa) and I just pat him on the butt and say no, he only has dne it maybe 2 more times...Good Luck, yml |
Thanks alot. I will try the patting on the back. But when he goes at it he doesnt want to stop!! Its kind of funny!! Luckily he does it more to my boyfriend than me...:D |
It seemed that the patting him was more that he stopped out of I scared him, and he yelped like it beat him, he is so spoiled and I think he was so surprised I did it...Good Luck! yml I have been reading other posts and I hope I do not have to deal w/ the pink thing, haha...I know I will but......... |
My little pup started humping when he was just 9 1/2 weeks old...and his little lipstick stuck out, eeeeew!!! lol:p |
Hey both my male and female hump their toys. However, i have heard that it is also them trying to show their dominance over something, ie. You, he must be jealous of your boyfriend and trying to tell him that you are his...haha!!! ;) |

:lol tears I'm sorry..I have boys too and I know how surprised you can get when they do this....The only thing I do is redirect them as I am saying "no" and it does get better...My soon to be 2 year old, doesn't do it at all anymore. Your little guy is very young...Prob. just discovered "it" exists...Good luck and congratulations on your new baby!!! |
