a question for you groomers When I was grooming my cocker last week, my clippers gave out. So I am in the market for some new ones. What brand should I be looking for? and where can I find them? I am not concerned with cost, I just want something really good that will last me for a while. I believe they pay for themselves over time so I am not worried about how much they cost. but they have to be super good because her hair is soooooooooooooooo thick!!! It takes me forever to cut her hair with "not so good" clippers. thanks!! |
Andis clippers are pretty good clippers. I am not sure if you can find them at a petstore though. But you can find it online at jbpet.com If price isn't a concern, I think the Andis Super 2-speed will work for you. I haven't tried it myself but it sounds go for what you are needing it for. I have a cocker also and she has super thick hair too that takes forever to cut with crappy clippers. My good ones broke down so right now I am using a cheap one until I can save the money for the other ones. www.dog.com also carries some Andis clippers. |
I just looked at the ones I have and they are andis. They probably weren't the top of the line model but they were around $100 so I dont think they were bottom of the line either. I wrote andis and asked if there was anything they would be willing to do :D I won't hold my breath ;) I have found some of the really good ones brand new on ebay, so when I am ready to buy them, I may go that route. otherwise, amazon.com seems to have good prices. thanks for the advice :p |
