Wait a minute, what?!? The giardia got worse? How is that possible? |
I'm going on my 4th vet. When we went for Maxs 1st appt I told him all the horror stories of the last 3 vets. We talked for an hour. I was shocked he gave me so much of his time. I will be present for all vacs & exams being done. They take them in the back room, who's to say what they did. |

Agree 100% There's NO WAY any vet or ass. will take my girls to the back for play, if they want to play or awe over them, they can do it while i watch. They will give their shots while i hold them, i want to know, and see what they do to them! Why would they want to do that in the back? Definatly time for a new vet!! |
Titer test Hi, I'd have a titer done to see what immunities already exist. There's a suspicion that some of our canine diseases are related to over vaccinating. I took Gigi to her first vet visit. Because I didn't have an official record of her shots, they are giving her two rounds. I was relieved to see a posting in the office that our vet does offer titer blood work, at least they're working with me rather than against. There's a group on yahoo called BeyondVaccination that'll help answer your questions. |
:animal-pa Uma is getting a second round of shots too. She is 19 wks. old. My vet. always wants to make sure it is done right. They have NEVER taken one of my babies in the back for vaccs< in the 25 years I have used their office.:animal-pa |
well here is another reason i am mad he has prescribed her 25 mg of flagyl 2 times a day for 14 days well i think she should have been on that in the first place and two he only carries 250 mg and can't cut them down so I had to call a bunch of pharmacies to see if they could compound it for me the problem is ( I HAD TO DO THE WORK) isn't that what i pay him for i'm not the vet.:thumbdown So thanks to Eva (hoku's mom) i called her vet and they gave me the # to the pharmacy that would do it for me. I'm done with him and won't go back. Thanks again Eva |
No problem, hon, glad I could help:) |

I'm sorry you are so frustrated with your vet. |
In The Uk..... Hello Things Are Done A Little Different Over Here - I Took Harvey To The Vets When I Got Him, To Be Checked Out And Have His Injection. He Had One Injection At 8 Weeks (dont Know What For Without Looking At The Records), Then At 10 Weeks He Had Another One, After 2 Weeks He Could Go Outside. He Doesnt Have Any More Now Until He Is 1 Yr Old. Presuming The Same Treatment - Just Administered In A Different Way?.............. |
