Ears yes or no? Rocky is 18 weeks now. At the last vet check and shots I got him ear wash because he itches his ear and makes noise like it bothers him. I've read about plucking the ear hairs (he has a lot of them). How many here do that? Is it the hair way inside? Is it difficult to do yourself? And should I start at his age? Sorry if this has been asked before. Thank you very much |
My Darla is only 5 months. I took her to the groomer a month or so ago for the first time just for a shampoo to get her used to the environment. I live in a small town so I sat and visited with the groomer while she worked. I noticed she used a pair of hemostats to pull the hair out of her ears, all in one fell swoop. Darla didn't flinch. This woman has been grooming for well over 20 years, so I'm sure she has a great touch. Anyway, I don't know how often they do it as this was my first experience. I haven't messed with her ears or her mother's. Chloe's ears do not stand, so I don't think she has to worry as much about them getting dirty inside. |

Chestersmom, Thanks, this was helpful |
panama69, I thought your pic of your pup was mine!!! Cutie for sure. Couple questions for ya- Does the hair come out easy? How many are you pulling at a time? Thanks much |
Use ear powder when you pluck the hair from any dogs ear. It makes it less painful and easier. you can buy it at any pet supply store |
