spaying... weight gain? ...after spaying your baby, do they GAIN weight easly?...?? |
All my puppies are spayed or neutered . Only one gained weight because her new owner gave her table scrap and didn't exercised her . |
Mine only gained normal weight gain because she was still growing |
Reesie gained a couple of pounds, but she was still a puppy when she was spayed. |
Spaying/neutering doesn't cause weight gain, it's been proven. Only lack of exercise or too many yummy treats can do that! hehe |
Well... let me put it this way.... my Mickey and Penny are the only yorkies of mine that are "fixed"... and... THEY ARE FAT!! :D |
I dont know how much LillyBelle weighs right now, but she weighed 4lbs when she was spayed at one year of age. She most definately is heavier, shes not necessarily bigger, but just feels heavier. Nothing has changed, she runs in the backyard several times a day, we go for mile walks 2-3x a week and her food has not changed. She's certainly more "solid" would be the best way to describe it. |

Gracie didnt gain weight |
Before we spayed Lola, my vet told me that spaying definitely will cause them to be a little heavier (or more solid). She said she wasn't going to lie but it is indeed true. It's hormonal ..... pretty much same as when a women goes through menopause.. they usually gain a little weight at some point. |
