Do you like your Puppia Harness? I still haven't ordered a Puppia Harness for my boyz. First, I'm not sure how to measure for them and second I'd like to know more about them. For those of you that have them can you tell me if you like yours? Are they secure? Are they comfortable? Any problems or issues I should know about? Do you have the regular harness or the vest? |
Gracie has two puppia harnesses. We love them. They are easy to use and are comfortable. The only downside is when your baby grows, baby's head might grow faster than his/her chest. The puppia harness pulls over the head. I found I had to buy Gracie a bigger size because it was getting too hard to get over her head, while the chest part still fit. We also love step-in harnesses, but at the park the other day Gracie's front legs somehow slipped out of the harness. I saw just as the harness was getting ready to fall off over her hind quarters. A scary moment indeed. I think the puppia overhead harness is more secure. |
I bought Lexie one a couple of months ago -- they are great!! JMO |
lilo and stich like the harness |
Simon and Hallie have them and we LOVE them! They are so easy to use and very comfortable. I feel secure with them too! |
i was just looking to buy one for austin he slips out of his step in its terrifying |
puppia harness After trying many collars and harnesses that Buddy would chew through, sometimes in a week or less,,I ordered a Puppia harness. I love it! He sometimes gets his right front foot thorough it, but has yet to chew on it. To me, it is worth the money as I was spending a lot of money on new harnesses because of the chewing. It is also cute. I will be ordering more of them because I have a red one, and when Sping comes, I think I want yellow. Go for it! |
i like it ok once i get it on her.... i never know if its on her right. but she likes it and walks with on her! |
Ok I thought you spelled puppy wrong. What is a puppia harness? Mine are all handmade like little dresses and vests. |
I don't know about this type of harness. Can you tell me where I could get one? |
Thank you for your replies. So, it goes over their head? Does is slip on easily or is it a little snug once it's on so it stays in place? Does the rest of the vest snug up so it can't slip off? And one last question...is there somewhere to buy them other than eBay? Most of them I see on eBay are for girls or the little blue flowery boy harness but I don't think my boys would look good in blue flowers and I'm not crazy about camo either. Do they make the vest in red or yellow? Does anyone use the regular harness they make and not the vest? If so, how do you like that style? Is it secure? Anyone have pictures of their dog in a Puppia harness? |

I have two yorkies and the Puppia Harness work well with them. The most important thing about the harness is the head measurement. It has to fit over the head to be placed. I have a Blue and Red one. Go to e-bay for cheaper prices. I would try some pet stores first just in case you have to return it . |
Unfortunately the Puppia harness didn't work for us! Wrigley is only 3lbs, but apparently her head is big! It was way too tight going over her head, but fit fine on the body. We returned it because it would have been too difficult to take on and off! |
I have a Pink Puppia and Daisy hates it because it goes over her head. We also have a Vest Harness but she hates the velcro. I searched for harnesses on the site and came across a post where Mitzis Mom made harnesses. It is the best of all worlds. It's everything I was looking for and finally found. Please see my thread below with pictures of the harness she made for us. Daisy loves it. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66295 |
