Adult Yorkies My girl is three and does not play with any toys, not even a ball. She also does not chew on rawhide things, bones, etc. Is this normal? Kate |
I think ALL yorkies are different in personality - I have a 3 year old and she never STOPS playing........... Cheri, who is a year old... seldom plays with toys alone - She does like to play with her sister who always has a toy she's dragging around ...so that's when she plays - They seem to like what the other has... |
Duncan isn't very into toys but he loves his nylabone and spends hours everyday play wrestling with our other dog Mollie. |
Jerry is sort of like Duncan, but he has only 2 or 3 toys he plays with..one is this big sock puppet :) |
Biddy loves toys - but she HATES rawhide. she actually cries & whines when we give it to her. Tucker has no interest in any toys whatsoever... |
Mia is 3 years old and she LOVES to play, actually she never stops. She has her favorite toys (her ball and her bunny), but then all of a sudden she'll play with one of her toys she hasn't touched in months (and believe me, she has LOTS of toys). She's not big on chewing nylabones or anything like that. Maybe she'll chew on it a couple of minutes but then leaves it there. Every Yorkie has its own personality and habits. Oh, one of Mia's favorite things to play with is an empty plastic bottle of water. Here we are spending a fortune on toys and Mia likes to play with water bottles and rock  She's one special girl!! |
Alex rarely plays with his toys, he will be 5. I have gotten him some many, trying to get him to play. He does like to sleep with a few select toys, though. And every once in awhile he will actually play with a toy. Otherwise, he likes to give his toys baths. He kinda acts like a mama dog with two of his toys. :D |
Mine is 6 mos and always has something in his mouth -- most of the time its my hand :) |
