Bailey screamed while poopin' I thought something had really happened to him because I heard this squealing noise and I went to see what was going on and he was poopin and going in circles.......so I really don't know if he was squealing because it was hard to come out (which very little did come out) or he was squealing because they had a little poop hanging from his butt.......My husband thinks he was constipated thats why he squealed? If he is.....what can I give him? Does any other dogs squeal when poop is hanging from their butts  Sorry about such an icky subject!! |
oooh poor little guy! maybe he hate something non-digestable which hurt coming out... give him some pure pumpkin from a can (not the spiced kind you put in pie) and it should clear it all up! |
Brandi did the exact same thing this morning and scared me half to death.......I woke up to her dragging her butt across the floor.......then she ran around the other side of my bed and was "TRYING" to poop and it seemed she was having trouble......then she followed me into the bathroom and kept trying to go and couldn't......but I could smell that "something" had happened and she had some stuck to her......I put her in the sink and washed her and she went up on my bed and all of a sudden I heard the equivilant of screaming.......and I picked her up and was rubbing her belly.......and she came downstairs ate a little.......then all of a sudden I heard some air pass and she pooped.........and she was fine.......scared the daylights outta me though |
Libby's pumpkin!! |
Ouch:( I know how she feels, I've screamed a time or two while poopin:o  Maybe she didn't get enough water yesterday and was a little constipated. Happens to the best of us. I hope she's okay now:love: |
Kodak never squealed but has been constipated, even to the point of where his gland burst and leaves a patch. I had to have Kodaks glands squeezed twice to keep him from overloading. The Yt members told me to try cottage cheese and yogurt in his diet. I've been giving him a spoonful with his food once a week now. He flows freely with no problems, they also recommended the pumpkin to. He loves cottage cheese so I use that now. |

Actually I was getting nervous......after reading here about the cottage cheese and yogurt I ran out and got some for Brandi and she LOVES it......I thought that might be what was constipating her.......but I guess not |
Ok thanks everyone I am going to the store tomorrow to get a can of punkin I hope he starts to flow easy :hands: |
How much of the pumkin should I give Bailey????? |
Ok Bailey is going in Monday morning......I hope that is not too late for him? The vet said that he may need his gland flushed because it may be blocked. Bailey hasn't even pooped this morning  I told the nurse about the pumkin and she told me no, to give him a baby supository (spelling??) about 1/4 of it..........Man I hope Monday gets here quick!!!! Please keep Bailey in your prayers!!! |

and yorkiemommy - my girls have both done that - and ususally it WAS constipation - poor Chanel had quite a few butt baths in her day - I would just run warm water on her and it really helps |
This is hilarious. I thought my yorkie was the only dog in the whole world who runs away from her poop and acts crazy is she has a hanger. That's why I love reading this forum. I thank everyone for all the information,. |
