Patterns
 
Does any one know where i can buy sewing patterns for a dog?I have seen a book an ebay but it is in Japenese.

Look in the sewing section of Walmart, fabric stores...they have the pattern boosk..I have bought patterns to make beds..maybe they have clothes also.

Simplicity 4780 is a cute pattern

I find Walmart has the best price for sewing patterns.
Look in the craft section of the pattern books.

Is it just me or is that Yorkie kinda round? Wow, I cannot imagine my baby looking like that, I think it is cute, dont get me wrong it just looks very round. :confused:

It's funny you posted this question. I was just at the JoAnn's store looking for patterns I bought the second pattern listed above. It has the coat, stockings and flat bed. But I was looking for dress, pajama and tee-shirt patterns. Didn't find any. So if anyone knows of a site that has patterns like that please let us know. If not I suppose we will have to try and make our own patterns. It's always so much easier to use a ready made pattern.

I have been looking for some patterns to and looked at the pattern book I'm more interested in cute dresses myself like to know where to get some to so please let me know it you find them.

I take my old baby doll clothes and teddy bear clothes and put them on Jane. But every time I do that, she has a annoyed look on her face. Poor Jane.

wow your yorkie is the one on the McCalls pattern? That is cool he is like famous then huh. I did not mean any disrespect to you or your yorkie at all, and if I offended you I am truly sorry. I will try to scan some of my patterns into the computer for you and then email them to you. I have quite a few. I just buy the clothes that are on clearance even if they are ugly and take them apart. I then go to a copy machine and copy the pieces and then either shrink them or enlarge them depending on what I am making the shirt/dress/coat for.

no problem, I wish I could say I have only made one mis understanding. Unfortunatly my numbers are heavily out weighed on one side. I need to stop jumping to conclusions....lol :D

You can take the coat pattern and make a dress out of it. Just put velcro around the bell and under the front neck. Then ruffle the skirt, add bows, and you have a darling dress! Just cut the under part shorter.

I have actually already posted this in another thread somewhere but for t-shirts you can take baby onesies and cut them a little to make some cute personalized shirts. Add some paint, rhinestones, ribbon, etc and you'll have a really cute shirt. I made Reagan a couple you can check them out at her dogster page the bottom two pics....www.dogster.com/?132573
On the audrey hepburn one I should've made the picture smaller and cut the shirt shorter. You really could get away without any sewing.

I've thought of just embellishing and adding a ruffle or ruffly lace or something. I do have the pattern from Butterick for a coat.
A onesie woul be perfect for p.j.'s. Here in ND it gets chilly for the pups at night, even in our bed.

Thanks, that's sweet. I think its a good idea to embellish things to make it your own. That way your pup won't have those embarrassing moments where he/she's walking down the street and oops that other dog is wearing the same shirt.

www.sewingpatterns.com is a website that sells every pattern from Vogue, Simplicity, McCalls and several others...just search for dog items. I bought two patterns from the site which included dog coats, cushions & blankets.
