As many of you have noticed in the past couple of weeks, YorkieTalk has been down and unaccessable, at seemingly random times. Our current server simply can not handle the current load of our members and the activity level. We've grown and grown and grown in the past year, but that growth does cause some problems.

This will help us out tremendously, as YorkieTalk simply can not afford a new server at this time. The ads and donations we currently receive would not be enough to handle the bandwidth costs and server costs, too.

We'd also like to sincerely thank each and every person who has donated to YorkieTalk in the past, as you are the reason that YT is alive. It would be impossible to pay for costs for a community this large without your help!

If we don't get a new server, we may have to limit certain functions on YorkieTalk, such as search, picture attachments, and the Photo Gallery. We've had to remove a few boxes from the main YT page because of this server issue. Any restrictions would be a last resort, and we hope we don't have to do that, but we may have to to be able to serve all Yorkie owners without the server crashing.

Your contributions have helped thousands and thousands of Yorkie owners, and we hope we can continue to be able to be your Yorkshire Terrier community. Thank you for reading this.
