woohoo!!! Off topic but I got my LLC license this week for my business.... I am so excited that I got my business license in the mail this weekend (thanks to Bren's help!) for my pet boutique. I'm official!! Now to get more products in! I've always wanted to own my own business. Both sets of my grandparents had a business, my parents owned a business and I figure this is my opportunity to do so. It's in my blood!! I went to college knowing that one day, I would own and manage my own business. You guys can't imagine how much fun it is for me so far (not to mention the intense amount of work and hours put in behind the scenes). I love fashion and I love clothes and I LOVE shopping so this is so amazing to me to be able to pick out each an every product! I work a full time job but hope to quit that one day and focus on this amazing business venture. Wish me luck! |
Congratulations! I know that you have put a lot of hard work into getting this far. Good luck! |
Congratulations and wishing you continued success. I can imagine the behind the scenes work you do because I am in the same situation as you. :) I too have a full time job with great benefits and 22 vacation days that I cannot seem to get out. My dream is no different from yours, to be my own boss and hopefully that will happen one day soon. My first dream actually is to be a housewife but I don't think that will ever happen as I spend too much :p. I just met with my accountant and will be meeting with my business lawyer to fix all the requirements to be LLC. I am registered right now as a single proprietor. I look forward to the day you will be doing this full time . . . .I know it won't be for long    |
aw...thanks chattiesmom and tiger's mom!! Yeah, it's insane how much work there is, especially with documenting and paperworks for reporting purposes, as I try to do everything the right way. Wow, Tiget's mom, are you doing your own paperworks to become an LLC? Bren showed me a co that will take care of all that for you as well as be your registered agent (paid annually). I'm taking care of my own EIN and seller's permit though, that part is easy. Like you, I am allowing our accountant to handle the rest....I took a few finance and accounting classes in college but that topic is not all that glamarous to me  Congrats to us then!!! At least you get to 'buy' stuff for your store seeing that you love to shop like me :) |

I do a lot of sewing and will continue to do so but have started to outsource my line. I do very little shopping as I want all my products to have the gofetch name. :p |
