I know there have been several threads on this subject - you could probably use the "search" button and find several of them - I can't remember where they all are, but I do know there are lots of good ideas and even some great pictures! I have several ways for storing Mojo's things. He has a decorative trunk (w/ lid, but it stays open) in the living room w/ toys - we do rotate his toys every now and then, so he has a variety - but we do keep out some of his favorites. He has a laundry bag in my bedroom closet full of toys (hooked on the wall behind the door), these get rotate out w/ the ones in the trunk - and a wicker basket upstairs w/ toys. This way, he doesn't have a zillion toys scattered around the house! For his clothes, our bedroom closet is a huge walkin closet - with lots of shelves. We bought lined wicker baskets and each has its place on the shelves and each has their own specific items. One is full of bath stuff (so I can just carry it to the sink when it is bath time) - towels, robe, shampoo's, grooming stuff, etc. One has all fall/winter stuff, one has all spring/summer stuff. (clothes, hats, etc) I have two carriers, but he never uses them - instead, I use them for his "on the go" bags. So, I keep his travel bowls and containers, extra leash, etc. in those - they are on the top shelf. I have a wide/deep drawer in the kitchen that has all of his treats, meds, flea/tick stuff, etc. in it - that is convienent because it is where we can get to it easily. Plus, he will come in from outside and go paw at that drawer because he knows that is where his treats are! This system works well for us. Good luck! |
I use rubbermaid drawers |
well i went to IKEA and bought one of those boxes that are made out of cardboard and you ressemble yourself. I store her clothes in there and it works fine. |
thanks! :) Wow, thanks for all the pictures and ideas. Some of those pictures look like a cabinet that we no longer use. I could hang a bar in there and convert it to a dog wardrobe, lower the shelf and get some plastic bins for pull out drawers for leashes and collars and such. Thanks, this helps get the wheels turning! |
i use a set of plastic storage drawers. |
Plastic storage drawers for towels/unopened bags of food/treats, miscellaneous accessories like travel bowls lifejackets, plus rubbermaid containers for open food, cannisters for open treats, plus a basket in the living room with toys, and a basket by the door with "everyday" coats/harnesses/leashes for those daily walks. They also have one of my dresser drawers  |
I use a chest of drawers, the basket type. |
