My mom's Yorkie, which I am babysitting while my dad is in the hospital is pretty much ALL blue (light silver and dark silver) I have never heard/seen this before. She also has a light light gold section around her muzzle area that you can barley make out....anyone know anything about this? Is it s a genetic mutation, is that acceptable as a colr? Health problems?
I cant seem to find anything or other yorkies that look like this....:confused:

it looks pretty normal to me he's just really light tan on the nose and it looks like his face just didn't clear and go all one color. I have seen a lot of yorkied this color

My Kiki has similar coloring. She is sort of champayne and steel gray in color, and only has the "yorkie gold" around her nose.

Good, because she thinks she is a yorkipoo because she said she never seen a yorkie this color and mostly because people ask her if she is a yorkiepoo. She feels duped for what she did pay, but loves her regardless. I am not a yorkie expert and I know there is a wealth of knowlegde in these forums, and I appriciate that!

Kiki has been accused of being a yorkiepoo too :D, but not since she was a puppy.

It's probably the texture of her coat that makes people ask that, more than the color. In the pics, it looks like her coat is possibly a wavy, "cotton" coat, rather than the standard straight silky yorkie coat.

How old is the doggie?

She looks like possibly not the best QUALITY yorkie (or maybe those aren't the best pics!), but I think your mom can rest easy that she does have a yorkie. We've all seen many with coats that color/texture.

Here is Kiki....she is several months older now, and is even more light colored around her face:

She is 7 months and does have a cottony coat, thats why she keeps her coat short, so it wont matt terribly.

Tatum's mom is a very light color - pretty much just like your mom's dog. She's very light tan on the face and silver on the body. Her dad is very red/gold on the face and very black on the body. I really wondered when she was little which one she would look like. I guess she's in-between because she has silver streaks in her black but a pretty golden face.

They do come in all shapes, colors and sizes! :D
