is he ill? Hey guys I have a peculiar situation at hand. Yesterday Lucky went to the vet to get 3 shots and he was fine. I was concerned that he was going to be sleepy and grumpy but he was his normal playful self. However he is acting really strange today! He is sleeping ( a lot) and he refused to eat his lunch and dinner!!! This is VERRRYYY unusual for him! Needless to say im very worried about my baby. does anyone have any suggestions on what may be wrong with him? Thanx in advance. |
It could just be a delayed reaction to his shots from yesterday. I wouldn't be super worried, but to make yourself feel better you could just shoot a quick phone call over to your vet to ask if this is normal. Hugs to your baby!! |
I think they don't feel very well after shots. But I would watch him carefully, if he is not better tomorrow give a call to the vet. Sometimes vaccines don't sit well with our babies. |
Thank u sooo much. Its kind of weird because he is bringing his toys to me and he wants to play and he seems fine. and he's chewing on his greenie( the thing that looks like a toothbrush but green) but he still refuses to eat. im trying to spoon feed him since he wont eat on his own. i feel like a bad mommy! im at a lost on what to do for him!!:( |
bella had a similar reaction after she got her shots but she was throwing up non stop. i called the vet and they said she had a reaction to the shot, and i had to bring her back for some medicine....anyways, my point is if you call the vet and tell them the symptoms they will be able to tell u what your baby needs, but i am sure he will be just fine....good luck |
I don't know if you know or not but Greenies aren't digestable and not good for our babies. Just FYI |
you need to get food in him some way or at least give him some Nutracal. Is he drinking? greenies are bad. |
I hope your little guy is back to normal tomorrow. If he hasn't eaten in the morning, please call the vet. For future reference, these little guys should not get more than one vaccine at a time. Please space the shots out at least 3 weeks apart. This will help to lessen any reaction. Maybe try some little pieces of cheese to entice him to eat something tonight, especially if you don't have Nutrical on hand. Please let us know how he is tomorrow. |
chester has never gotten three shots before, the vet spaces the rabies and the other one out. |
