the clock theory Does anyone know whether placing a ticking clock, wrapped in a blanket, actually works well with puppies? I've heard it keeps them more calm and comfy at night so they don't whimper. I don't know if I should try it or not. What do you guys think? Nobella |

I've heard that too - it's supposed to remind them of their mother's heartbeat. I don't know if it works - but it's worth a try! I'm curious though, let us know if it works! |
You can also place a hot water bottle wrapped in towel in their to simulate heat from the other puppies or mom. |
I have heard about the clock too but have never tried it. I will say however a friend of mine recently got a maltese (he was pretty young though I think 5 weeks) and got a bed that makes a heart beat noise. It worked great for him everytime you so much as sat him on it he went to sleep(this could be because he's so young don't know though). She also said he has never really whined when you leave him alone on it. I think the bed is called a comfort pup I've seen a couple other people talking about it on here, can't remember if they liked it or not though. |
