Simon keeps peeing on everything HELP !! This is why I dont do Males!! I am soo frustrated. He pees on EVERYTHING and he is only 6 months. HELP besides neutering, how can I stop this ??? |
Sorry I would have said neutering is the way to go, because I'm sure it will only get worse. If you're planning on breeding him, I would invest in belly bands, to keep him from soiling the house. |
If correcting him has not worked then I would use belly bands. |
Belly bands. Timmy is the same way and I tried to correct him and confine him in his crate...he actually loves being in his crate. As soon as I put him in there he would lay down and go to sleep. No whining no barking no nothing. So I started using belly bands on him. While at work I do not leave him with a belly band. They stay in their bed room and I place pads on the floor. He does great when he's in his bedroom but when he's around the house he wants to mark every corner. |
i know this may sound strange, but our vet recomended using black licorice, something about it helps control the hormones in their bodies. we simply gave it to him everytime he went outside. Also if he has an accident, after you use warm water use white vinager, it makes the smell invisable to them. Other cleaning products simply challenge them to cover it up again |
My Maltese does the same thing! And neutering him made no difference at all. He seems to go in spurts. There are days and days that he doesn't mark anything and others when he lifts his leg all over the house. It's so dang frustrating!! I never heard about the licorice thing but I'm willing to try anything. I do have belly bands but he only tends to mark when we are away from home so I hestitate to put them on him when we are not home. I hate to confine him while his sister has the run of the house but I'm getting desperate. We are getting our third dog in 9 days and I can only imagine how much more he's going to want to 'mark' his territory. If we had had Biscuit neutered BEFORE he started lifting his leg, he probably nevery would have started (according to the vet) but we didn't so now we are paying the price. So for all of you out there with male puppies, get them neutered EARLY so they don't destroy your house!! |
*everytime he goes pee outside* i meant to say |
peeing BELLY BANDS...BELLY BANDS...and MORE BELLY BANDS...the only way to live with a pee-er! |
Does this mean he has to wear them for the rest of his life? I wouldn't like that. |
