Well I guess we qualify for the Teapot club!! Crickett weighed 8lbs at her 4.5month vet visit. She will get spayed on April 1 and I am curious as to how much she will weigh then. Her mom was 10lbs, dad was 4lbs. So she is just going to be like her mom and be a big gal. She will actually be bigger than her mom I would think. Glad there are lots of others out there!! You all are just so cute. More Yorkie loving to go around, whether you are big or small they hold a special place in our hearts. You just can't beat having a Yorkie to love.

I'm soooo glad I found this page although I had to laugh out loud at the term "tea pot yorkie"!!!! Only knew about tea cups. Sure, it's not an official term but still pretty funny. My Walker is not even 4 months old and weighs in at 5 pounds. I didn't think he'd get that big (parents are 4 and 5 pounds) but whatever....he's healthy, happy and we love him no matter how big he'll get.
So,........is there another "class" above tea pot or is this pretty much it?:lol tears

well, there are some real heavyweights,, 15-18 lb Yorkies,, they call themselves CROCKPOTS!!:)

We need a chart for weights for teapots,crockpots, and what ever other tems they are out there!!

Can my Brutis join- he weighs 9 1/2lbs. and no fat. just long. He is my gentle giant. lets my other babies gang up on him- he actually lays down in the floor so the can attack him:) he is my first yorkie.

Mine was a "surprise". I was told the parents were 4 and 5 pound so I didn't expect my puppy to be approaching the Tea-Pot category....:D But he's so darn cute....I don't really care anymore and I was told by my vet that the extremely small Yorkies can have serious health problems. Sure, he's almost 6 pounds at 4 months but so what...:teethysmi

we knew that Samson was going to be bigger because he was larger than his brother and sister. But his mom is only 5 lbs and his dad is only 3 lb. so we thought at the most he'd be at the high end of 'standard'. Well at 6 mos he is now 7 lbs. With some more growing to do, he's definately going to fit in this teapot club nicely!

LOL You hope he stopped growing! Buddy weighed 8 lbs at six months and
continued gaining until he was 1yr weighing 13lbs at one year. He's very
muscular and solid much like a bull dog:p Between 1-3yrs. he gained another 2lbs making his total weight today 15lbs:eek:

Well its official! Pepper is applying for membership in the teapot club. At 22 wks Pepper weighs in at 8lbs and 5 oz!! What do we have to do to apply?? Is there a signature for the signature line

Hey - I'd like to join as well, I have Chewy at 12 :cool: lbs and Choupette at 8 lbs, which leaves out my little one who only weighs 4.5 lbs - so I feel I have all sizes and I'm loving it. When they stand side by side (almost always by size order) they make the funniest trio!!

My Roxy is just 10 months and over 10lbs - her dad was large and her mum medium sized so she def took after her daddy - people always ask if she's a thoroughbred and - yes she is! She's super confident and we joke that she does a good rock star impersonation with the way she struts around sometimes! She's our little Roxstar!

Any Yorkie weighing over the 7 lb standard size is eligible for admittance into the Teapot Club--that's my understanding, anyway.

Since we are a friendly group, we allow smaller yorkies in too, but they have "wanna be status" only. ;)

Finnegan would like to join the Teapot Club too. At 2 &3/4 y.o. he's 12#. He just graduated into Medium clothing. His small jackets kept popping open when we went on walks, and he'd freeze in position until I refastened him. Now he has a coat that finally fits!

On behalf of the Teapot Club of YT, I heartily accept Finnegan's application for membership. But since this is an exclusive club, one requirement must be met. We need to see a picture of Finnegan. We don't doubt your word. We just like seeing pictures of cute teapots. :)

How do we apply? I have a 9 mo old and he's about 15 lbs. I can't believe ti his parents are average size. I don't mind,because the real small one would make me nervous with my cats.:eek:

Unless I am carrying a duffle bag, 9lb baeiLy is not going to fit in any of my purses! Baeily is heavy, I would never carry her in a purse and endure those kind of shoulder pains!! lol

but i dont think my juicy yorkie minds her weight, she likes to walk! lol

So good news guys! Walker officially weighs enough to apply for membership to the teapot club. at 17 weeks we weighs in at a whopping.........8 POUNDS!:dogsm2: (he looks kinda like that:)) He is healthy vet even says so. Here is a picture to represent my chunky monkey. (The cone is a fashion statement he gets the stitches taken out of his eyelid on friday and the cone comes off them)

:animal36Teapots is the first club we joined when we came to YT! Toby is 16# and Seems tiny to us! He's not fat at all, but I do laugh at how long he is when he stretches out in the A.M. Mom weighed 8# Dad was 6#. Toby wears a size Medium!
