Bad breath..sick! Has anyone experianced bad breath with their baby? I just noticed Bentley's is foul smelling...i can't stand it! You smell it instantly when you pick him up...sick. His teeth look clean and i brush them...but the smell is still there. I'm wondering if it's bc he hasn't lost any baby teeth?? (that i've seen) I don't know what to do...it's worrying me  |
I guess no replies :thumbdown |
No replies cuz it's not been that long, silly:laugh: It's a little slower here on the weekends, I've noticed;) Anyhoo, yep, if he has any retained baby teeth, that can make their breath unGODly, eww! When is he due to be neutered? The vet can take care of his teeth then. |

& thanks for replying...! i was beginning to wonder if anyone was out there~ lol |
It is most likely because he has retained baby teeth. If your taking him to get neutered then have them pull the extra teeth and you will notice a 100% difference. |
Are they in alot of pain afterwards??? |

Not normally, but it's best to put then either on canned food or put warm water in their dry food to soften it for the first few days after it is done. I take my yorkies in for dental cleanings every year. |
I have posted a few times about Siu Pao's breath too..I brush his teeth, use cotton to swab and I just bought a big bottle of Petkin Dental and Breath Freshener Liquid. I hope it will help freshen his breath! He is 7 months old and after a lot of research, I have decided not to neuter him but I really do not want to go there in this thread. So I will wait for a month or two, play tug of war with him and if it doesn't come out, we are going to the vet to have it pulled. |

There are low-cost spay/neuter clinics in some areas, check around. I think the website is friendsofanimals.org or something like that. Then you wouldn't have to wait as long:thumbup: |

I wish his would fall out on their own...bc i don't have alot of money right now...and i'm not sure how much neutering and the teeth would be...and i def want to do both at the same time. |
I understand how you feel when there is no money and your baby needs to go to the vet. If you decide to neuter, ask around for recommendations and call the vets, as many as you can to get the price and what they include or not include with the price of neutering. You'd find the vet varies, some are much affordable than others. Try getting some oral dental liquid to mix in to their drinking water, it doesn't cost as much as going to the vet and it might help cleaning their teeth for the time being. |
I need to get Lillie into the vet also, she has ungodly bad breath, the last time I had her in she (the vet) didnt want to have her spayed until she was a little older. But her baby teeth has not fallen out that I can tell and it looks like she has 2 teeth back to back, like the grown tooth has come in front of the baby teeth. |
Why are the rawhides bad? I have never given them to my baby...but a lot of people have told me to get them for her to chew on......they all have larger dogs though. I was just curious what the rawhides do. |
